Can anyone name the first female or minority Vice President?

Would not a Clinton or Obama *Vice Presidency* also be historic? (putting aside the relative historical comparison to a Presidency)

Sen. Clinton and her campaign have been promoting for weeks that the elected pledged delegate majority should not be the deciding factor in choosing the nominee, and that the superdelegates should use their best judgment to insure that the Democratic nominee chosen is the most electable in November.

On those grounds, The Hillary Rules, were Obama to shift all his pledged delegates to Al Gore -- with the understanding that Obama would be the VP -- a sufficient number of superdelegates may certainly vote for the most electable GE candidate, Al Gore.

Gore/Obama 2008!!!
