Wow even Fox news people are getting tired of Obama bashing
Fox News' very own anchors are speaking out — and walking off — over what they perceive to be "Obama-bashing" on their network.

This morning on "Fox and Friends," Brian Kilmeade walked off the set after a dispute with his co-hosts Gretchen Carlson (she who celebrates deadly floods) and Steve Doocy over Obama's comment that his grandmother is a "typical white person." Kilmeade argued that the remark needed to be taken in context and eventually got so fed up with his co-hosts that he walked off set

17. I guess they figure Obama will win and they don't want to be cut off
from getting interviews like CNN was by the bush people. They know where their bread is buttered. Too bad it's buttered in slime.

20. Exactly, FOX is now changing their dynamic, because they consider Obama the nominee.
They have an audience to sell to.

5. Anybody that says Obama was malicious in his intent is full of shit
It was worded badly, I'll admit...but not meant the way some people are taking it.

9. I agree. As for wording...
he would probably have been better to have said his grandmother was an average white person rather than describing her as "typical". In the context of the whole of his comments which contained that phrase, this seeems clearly to be his meaning. According to my thesaurus, typical and average are acceptable synonyms, and Senator Obama was speaking extemporaneously at the time in an interview. I don't expect him or anyone for that matter to be perfect in their every word choice in that situation; that they are making a flap of this looks more like scraping the bottom of the barrel, desperately trying to find something nasty that will stick - and failing.
The RW puppet shills making noise about this are the same people who luv, luv, luv them some GeeHawDubya and Deadeye Dick, and have been defending them for almost eight years now; and defending remarks so stupid, so wrong, evil, cold and calculating that it makes Obama's comment look like what it is - a manufactured controversial non-story. It's Pot meet Kettle writ large.
And the people who are supporters of Senator Clinton, or are anti-Obama or whatever, and who are making a stink about this should be ashamed of themselves and their small minds. Lying down in such untreated waste and wallowing in it does no credit to their candidate or the ideals and beliefs they claim to advocate.

Anybody know what their average viewership is in the AM?

I wish some hate-filled people here would learn from that and stop with the bashing over a few remarks.

11. Here is the full, extended Chris Wallace clip and response from Obama campaign
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiIK8jh3ZCE

We appreciate Chris Wallace for doing his job as a tough but fair journalist on a network that has been deeply irresponsible over the last week in its unrelenting and sensationalistic coverage of Sen. Obama.

Sen. Obama gave the speech he did on Tuesday because he believes that Americans are ready for a thoughtful, mature discussion about race, and are hungry to move past media-generated controversies that distract from the struggles they face in their everyday lives.

If Fox News wants to play clips of the same offensive sound bites every day from now until November, that's their right, but that type of coverage does a disservice to their viewers and to a nation that is facing serious challenges that merit thoughtful and honest reporting.

13. Fox is probably looking at this from a $$$$ perspective
They want Obama on their stupid network and Obama won't do it. They screwed up having a Dem debate b/c of more stupidity. Now, the ratings show that when Obama is on your show, you get good ratings and therefore $$$$$$. I hate those boneheads on the morning "talk show." I really didn't like their mocking Kimeade when he walked off the set. Those people are vile and will attack their own. And to think that President Bill Clinton agreed to recently appear on that network after all the crap that network put him through.
