58. Since Hillary's was "breeched" during training incident in 2007
and wasnt "breached" by some unsupervised rogue employees,
and it didn't happen three separate times as it did to Obama,
at three key moments in the campaign,
its not worthy of alot of attention.

62. Obama played the fear card first when he quoted Bob Novak in Iowa
Novak spread a baseless lie that Hillary had dirt on Obama that she was not planning to use. There was no dirt and Hillary would not have told that old drunken traitor Novak is there was any. But Obama immediately came out denounced Hillary in public based upon Novak's word alone. In Iowa, candidates lose votes if the voters think they are using dirty tricks. Axelrod knew this and this is why he put Obama up to it. The strategy worked and they have kept at it ever since. It does not work so well with the big states where voters are more politically savvy.

43. it is not a "smear" if one is stating the truth (or using satire to communicate a truth).
A "smear" is the use of a falsehood to harm someone.

People here are criticizing Olbermann for applying different standards to different Democratic candidates without justification.

60. breaches of McCain and Clinton's passport files were not 'discovered' until Friday
Breeches were not reported to Gramps or Hillary until Friday according to the reports:

Citizens for Legitimate Govt has some good coverage on this:

State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said the breaches of McCain and Clinton's passport files were not 'discovered' until Friday, after officials were made aware of the privacy violation regarding Obama's records and a separate search was conducted

15. I would guess that it won't be a full hour, because by tonight, it won't be
breaking news, unless something else comes out, but I'll bet it's his first story and he'll spend a lot of time on it, regarding all candidates who have had their files breached. Last night, from what I watched, he was talking about this as a violation of the law and privacy. He has been all over the Bush Administration about the Patriot Act and our loss of rights, so yes, I think he's going to spend a big chunk of time on this.

His outrage that this would/could happen will cover everyone.

17. Why would anyone do a special on this?
It was a stupid stunt done by a new employee during his/her training when told to do a certain exercise and to use someone's name ~~ like a family member ~~ the newbie typed in Hillary's name. WTF would ANYONE waste time on investigating the conduct of someone who made a very stupid mistake and did not realize why not to do this. Apparently the newbie was told not to do things like that ... and that was the end of the matter.

Heard this on MSNBC from the guy who is speaking on behalf of the State Department, Sean McCormack.

BTW: Your illogical hatred is again in evidence....:eyes:

making himself one of his worst people tonight. He'll look fair and honest if he admits he jumped the gun by using innuendo to infer Sen Clinton had anything to do with the passport mess (without a stitch of evidence).

I like Keith and consider him the only reasonably honest journalist out there in cable land. But he truly messed up on this and I suspect, he'll rectify that.

It got *way* too much coverage on Countdown, due to it just breaking at the beginning of the show, but was still covered too much on CNN, as well. (Anderson Cooper, later)

Big time overreaction on Countdown to a developing news story, IMO; and not necessarily tied to Obama bias -- perceived or real.
