The Nightmare Scenario
I never agree with Robert Novak, but isn't it true what he's saying here? To have any chance in the GE, this has to be avoided at all costs.

"And the Democratic 'nightmare scenario' has gotten even more nightmarish. If Clinton wins on the strength of the super-delegates despite trailing in pledged delegates and the popular vote, then party insiders will have blocked the historic first nomination of a black candidate -- and now they will have done so because of racial fears regarding a black preacher."

People may be well past Wright.

Into what, none of us knows.

5. OMG...
I agree with him on that part, too. Haven't read the whole column, so that's all I'm stipulating to. :)
And I think it's very obvious to most people that this slash & burn stuff is bad for the party and bad for America.

7. Suppose Clinton wins the popular vote?
After Pennsylvania, she could be quite far ahead in the popular vote.

THAT is a nightmare scenario.

There is no way that the SDs will go against both the popular and delegate votes -- unless Obama is found to belong to a baby-eating cult. But a two-way split will be hard to argue through.

In that case, the candidate whose group is most willing to bolt the party will win. (Hint: it's not the candidate who supposedly will "do anything to win").

10. It will be nothing but good for the Movement, though. Google "recreate 68"
The Mobilization (anti-war / anti-globalization) in its many forms
is planning a massive shake-up in Denver and in Minneapolis, where Repubs
foolishly decided to convention.
