Kerry much like Pat Tillman
Edited on Tue May-04-04 04:50 PM by Quixote1818
All day today I heard the Republicans talk about what a hero Pat Tillman was and rip on John Kerry's war record. The more I thought about what Pat Tillman sacrificed the more John Kerry seemed the same. Kerry has become a multi millionaire and could dam well become President of the United States. Had he been killed no one would ever know how much Kerry had sacrificed. When Kerry enlisted he absolutely knew he had a very Bright future ahead of him. He probably knew he would some day become wealthy as most Ivy league graduates do.

The difference between Pat Tillman and John Kerry is that Kerry was lucky and made it out alive. Both are incredible hero's.

1. The story's
are so similar. Tillman was trying to rescue his fellow soldiers under fire when killed. Kerry was wounded while rescuing his fellow soldier under fire. John McCain was at Tillman's funeral. Where was shrub*??. Tillman played in AZ. McCain's state .

2. I think Kerry's new commercials really bear that out...
"A Lifetime of Service and Strength"

Tillman and Kerry: Two privileged men who gave it up to serve their country and performed heroically on the battlefied...

Like Maria Shriver said quoting her uncle at Pat Tillman's memorial service, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

4. As noted in GD I had this published
in my local paper yesterday.
When their country faced war three prominent and wealthy young men enlisted in their nation’s military service. After being trained all three made requests of their commander.
Pat Tillman requested to be sent to Afghanistan to fight for his country.
John Kerry requested to be sent to Viet Nam to fight for his country.
George W. Bush requested to be sent to Alabama to campaign for his Party.

7. His family had some real estate...
...but the bulk of his fortune comes from his wife. He has never done anything other than public service, be it military, legal, or executive, or legislative.
