1. I hope the SD's watch us spiral down in the polls, and I hope they shit their pants, knowing
that it's in their power to take a stand and back a candidate.

3. They need to shut up Clinton right now
...That is if they want to have the Democrat win in November.

2. I think all the head to heads are kind of meaningless right now.
Once the contest is one to one, everything will chanage.

We haven't found out who ours will be yet, therefore we are split for now.

7. Has anyone gone back to see how the states that already voted would vote post-Wright/Speech?
just curious how Idaho, and all those states that already voted in the primaries would vote now that Obama is getting vetted...

would be interesting to know.

8. If the infighting goes all the way to the convention, we lose.
Somehow we forgot that this is still a country deeply divided very near to 50-50. The popular vote in 2008 inevitably is not going to be greatly different than 2000 or 2004. Nevertheless, we COULD have won in 2008, perhaps even with an apparent "electoral college landslide" if we hadn't gotten consumed in this intercine primary warfare. In particular, Obama brought in a lot of young voters who could have tipped the balance in many swing states. Many of those young voters would also be willing to vote Hillary if the factional infighting in the party wasn't so fierce.

It's already gotten very late in the day for us to turn this around. By the end of the primary season in June, it will probably be to late for us to turn this around and win the national election. One step that could help us is for both Clinton and Obama to agree to a low cap on campaign spending in the remaining primaries, and pledge to turn over all remaining funds to the main campaign effort against McCain.
