...to debt. That's how Republicans do it. Look at the deficit Junior has rolled up in less than one term. Though some can and do use credit cards responsibly (can't remember the last time I carried a balance) many others do not. Corporations who are major 'Puke donors (i.e. MBNA, CitiBank, Bank of America) get rich from gouging people, often those who can least afford it. Been there and done that, a long time ago.

I don't know where Providian is at politically, and I don't have any particular problem with them as a company (had a Visa card from them a few years ago and only cancelled because I found a better deal) but the corporate consumerism is definitely one of the symptoms of the Republicanization of this party, and does not reflect Democratic values :puke:

.....by all means go RIGHT ahead and become beholden to a BANK....consume...donate....go into debt....with the way things are goin' these days there could be NEW and improved debtors prisons opened up in the next 4yrs....all private corporate cells...just waitin' for ya!! :eyes:
