Bush late nomination ballot access thingie
Edited on Tue May-04-04 11:41 AM by ann_coulter_is_a_man
here's an interesting bit I heard today.

I was talking to a guy collecting signatures for the libertarian party presidential candidate (I signed-i always support access for everyone). i mentioned how bush was being nominated too late to qualify for wv's ballot deadline.he told me that the national libertarian party is planning to sue in any state where spineless democratic legislatures attempt to change the rules for dumbya.

i'm glad someone is taking up this issue. i still don't see what no one seems to care that our party is enabling bush to exploit september 11th with his late convention.

1. Wasn't this also an issue in Alabama?

2. Illinois
I thought Illinois was the only state where that issue was still outstanding. Other state legislatures made exceptions, special just for Bush. Any Illinois DUer who has further information on the situation in Illinois is invited to share it here.

3. This could be fun
Karl Rove's plan to have the convention close to Sept. 11 may blow up in his face. First there will be protests that may make Chicago in 1968 look tame.

In addition, the delay may keep Bush off a couple of ballots if this litigation succeeds.

4. What would O'Connor do?

She has said that she believes her vote for Bush in Bush v Gore was the worst ruling in her career. I wonder if she would see this ruling as independant of that ruling, or as a chance to make some amends?
