3. Worse than that...
Where has Nader been the last three years? Why hasn't he been trying to build up the Green Party? Seems as if all he did was use the Greens, and the Greens rolled over and took it up the ...

If I was a Green, I'd be plenty mad at Nader.

2. Ain't skeered
After his appearance on Randi Rhodes' show, I don't think he's going anywhere this year.

4. what we really need
is for McCain to be reform party candidate. That obviously won't happen but wouldn't that make this election a cake walk!

5. I doubt the Greens will endorse him
He didn't treat them very well during his 1996 and 2000 campaigns, and he has basically snubbed them for this year.

He may get the Reform Party endorsement (whatever is left of it after Buchannan's 2000 run), but it probably won't make much of a difference anyway, as there's not enough activists to make a big enough difference.

Nader will be a non-factor this year-- if he can get on enough ballots, that is.

10. Actually Jesse V. left the Reform party after the Buchannanites took over
He and the rest of the Minnesota Reform Party bolted from the National Reform Party after the Buchannan-types took it over in the late 90s.

Most of the MN Reform Party broke off and became the Independence Party, which is one of our four major parties in the state right now. The other three are the Greens, the Republicans and the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.

Yup, you could say politics in MN is a strange beast...:)

11. Exactly!
They are going from archconservative Pat Buchanan to archliberal Ralph Nader. What kind of platform do these people have?

8. Reform who?
When last seen, Pat Buchanan ran away with the matching funds and a handful of right wingers. To make sure that W is safe even from them, he promptly named a black woman as VP. The only votes he got were from Palm Beach. I submit we ignore the whole Nader sad story.

9. Cool. Then the Greens and the Reforms can go ask Nader
for a voice in Kerry Admin. policy initiatives.
