"John Kerry Buyer's Remorse"
It's becoming apparent that "buyer's remorse" is the new "Clinton fatigue."

I'm hearing it everywhere, just like I did then, and it's just as much bullshit.

Google "john kerry buyer's remorse" and see whose site comes up first.

4. I never even heard of it
And it makes absolutely no sense to me. Buyer's remorse for a guy who's running neck-and-neck with an incumbent president six months before the election, after the incumbent spent more money than any candidate in history last month trying to blow him out of the water? Buyer's remorse for a guy whose campaign met its $80 million fund-raising goal three months ahead of time? Give me a break.

Nope. No agendas there, eh?

Imagine all the naive fools who parroted this propaganda.

6. As someone who was
never taken with Kerry, who became completely discouraged when it was clear he was going to be the nominee, I'm not gloating, but I want to ask all those who suddenly embraced Kerry in January and February, what in God's name were they thinking?

10. They were thinking exactly what the media told them to think.
"Dean is unelectable" being the most parroted propaganda. With honorable mentions for "Clark has no experience" (which is true, but look at Junior!) and "Kucinich looks like a Hobbit" (well yeah, he kinda does, but so what?)

Then they followed that up with "this election's going to be about national security and we can't trust that to anybody who hasn't been in the military" - manipulating people's 9-11 induced fear.

15. You are exactly right....Edwards or Dean were 10 times more
exciting, better looking and charismatic than Kerry ever can be.
Kerry speeches are better than Sominex sleeping pills.

11. And then you take the Jag out for a test drive and find out....
....it's got the engine of a 75 AMC pacer with over 200,000 miles on it.

Looked good in the advertisement, but turned out to be just a fancy paint job on top of a lemon.

12. I can not call it "buyer's remorse"
Because I never bought it in the 1st place. Hell, I haven't even had the chance to vote in the primary yet!

But I will say this - the majority of Iowan's buying habits suck!

22. Perhaps you missed the poster's sig
It suggests that nothing got turned around: a significant number of us really don't think much of Iowa's choice, nor of the rushed primary schedule that (intentionally) turned that choice into the nominee.

16. No Remorse-Democrats Are Rallying To Kerry
Sorry, to disagree with you, I simply think that most Democrats are excited about Kerry and believe that we have a excellent chance of beating Bush. You can't simply say that "it is becoming apparent"that there is "buyer's remorse" without backing it up with facts. What poll has shown that? Sure there are some. There always are. Most Democrats are just out there right now working there hearts out for Kerry.

As for the poster who wanted to know what we were thinking of in January and February. Democrat voters were thinking about what we got. A candidate who is tied with the incumbent President and leading in the Battleground states. A candidate who has a chance to do more than just send a message. A candidate who can get elected. I was for Clark not Kerry. But it became apparent that Clark was not catching fire and that Kerry was.

my very short post, to see that I AGREE with you that "buyer's remorse" is just
as bogus as "Clinton fatigue."

20. it raises a good question

And that question is: Where are all those Dean supporters who were bleating 'meme, meme, meme' at every allegation (generally bourn out, too) about their boy between October and February?

21. You have to buy first
We're still in sour grapes, my candidate didn't win, bohoohoo, phase. Some still think their candidate is actually in the running. You have to buy before you can have remorse.

Personally I liked Edwards, Dean, and Clark better, but hey whatever.

As long as a he picks one of those guys for VP, I'll be fine.
