Regardless if he wins or not... This speech will be taught & discussed in classrooms
All across America, for years to come. A continuation of the civil rights movement, merged with the human rights movement within our own fleeting country. I truly believe it will become one of those defining points in history that send our path on a new, and better direction.

There is no question in my mind. Obama is the only one that could have made this speech, and it comes on the heals of what could only be called... The fierce urgency of now. It was the right time for this conversation to be brought out in to the open.

2. Agreed. This is bigger than the presidency. Up to the American people
if they want to elect greatness or the same old same old.

3. Great speech but Obama supporters are going way overboard. It wasn't the Gettysburg address
JFK's big religion speech isn't even taught. Neither will this. It is one of many campaign speeches.

4. I agree.
It will matter to history.

Like the 'Who will be the last to die for a mistake' testimony.

Some words and speeches matter to HISTORY. Barack's speech today was one of them.

6. Speaking of which, any place I can download a copy for my classroom?
Our firewall won't allow school computers to visit YouTube. I was hoping to watch the speech tonight and possibly show it to my students before Spring Break.

11. Hmmm - Someone said it was on Obama's site, but I'm sure that will
direct back to youtube. Might give it a try though.

12. Oh, this will go down in history.
Not just his speech, but his opponents' strategies will be textbook examples of race-baiting.
