Pledge to stop the infighting
I've tried to avoid it the Clinton Obama spats as much as possible, but I've gotten sucked in to it more times than I want to admit anyway.

But it's killing us. It's killing Democrats. After today's speech by O, I realize I can be a better person than this. So I'm taking the following pledge:

1) No more squabbling: if I see an anti-Obama thread that pisses me off, I'll either ignore or try and engage the OP with humor and good natured disagreement. I'm hoping HRC supporters will do the same.

2) No more blame: Each side has blamed the other for starting the fighting. Each side pretends they are innocent. These are the choices and actions of a child. I won't do it any more.

3) No more namecalling: we don't call people "evil bitches" anymore. We don't call people cultists. We don't call them hateful. If you find something utterly obnoxious, do what they do on Kos and post a recipe.

If you're willing to take this pledge, add your name to this thread. Say whether you are an O or HRC supporter.

This is binding pledge. If you break it, you will be beheaded and your corpse left at the crossroads for the ravens. Figuratively speaking, of course.

1. there is no more reason to fight (Obama supporter)
when I see an inflamatory comment from someone who supports the other candidate, I will take one of two moves. I will either let it fall or welcome them to the ignore list.

I am focused on the general election now. My DU will be a clean and positive place. The primaries are over and Obama has/will win with support from the states, delegates, and supers who will follow the will of the people who overwhelmingly support Obama. Not to argue a moot point but Hillary cannot and will not win. Obama just took ownership of the 'race issue' and moved on to bigger and better things. He will not engage Hillary (or her supporters) in name calling, race baiting, or any other nonsense.

Flame me if you want but I dont care.

2. I pledge. I haven't even wanted to log on to DU lately. It's been just appalling! The fact
of the matter is, that between the infighting and the not addressing of the Florida voting situation, is splitting the party and will surely result in a loss in November if we don't get it together soon. Du-ers for the most part consistently dismiss the McCain threat meanwhile the polls consistently have McCain and the Dems candidates tied. Whichever candidate will become nominee he/she will have an extremely tough fight ahead against McCain and will have to overcome racial and gender issues that are still rampant in this country

HRC supporter and FL voter.

3. I'm up for the dream ticket myself
I don't even care who's on top. I just want to win. Hilary is a good candidate, a skilled politician, and I trust she will get things done. Obama has a vision I love.

Maybe we can mix their genes somehow.
