It really is ironic how the musings of a preacher has created more outrage
from repugs (and some dems) than the killing of thousands of innocent lives from a war based on a lie. I feel like i'm living in the twilight zone sometimes.

And yet it is ironic still that Obama is being blamed for statements his pastor has made, not statements he himself made. And if Obama had said he "HATES GOOKS" as McCain has said before than Obama would not be in the running to be president. The double standard is pretty horrific.

If Americans want another repug president then fuck it. I don't have mouths to feed, I don't have a mortgage to pay, my healthcare plan is just fine, I don't have family in Iraq, the recession will not affect me. When Americans suffer EVEN more than they have under Bush then I will not feel bad. I'll be laughing b/c they did it to themselves. They keep voting for rethugs who care more about the richest 10% than the middle class and they only have themselves to blame. What affects them will not worry me any longer. I only feel sorry for those democrats who honestly can't afford another 4 years of rethug rule. And to those I say, sorry your fellow americans will screw you over yet again.

Remember how Bush in the WH? It was with the help of the Religiously insane Right. After Bush was in office they got everything they wanted. War with those Muslims to serve up a nice case of Crusades do-over. Christians cheered on war with "kill-'em-all-let-God-sort-it-out" mentality. Millions in "Faith Based" Social Programs $$$ most of which got scammed, misused or did not have the intended results. All those hate filled words against the poor dependent on Social programs, gays, other religions and non-believers. And now the words of Obama's Pastor (truthful in most respects) is now seen as religious fervor that has no place in Religion. What a meme. How damned odd. My how manipulated things are when the overlords start narrating the story!

2. Joseph Campbell wrote about the power of the myth.
Use the name of God and you can control people to give you money, their lives or their votes. It's really very easy.
Kinda like country singers that get cheap applause at the end of a show by waving the flag. :dem:

3. I started a thread to this effect.
It's fucking nauseating. I'm having the same arguments here that I had with Republicans in 2004.

Welcome to bizarro world.

4. I think it's called righteous indignation.

Then again, who can really figure out their motivation?

Thanks for your sympathy and non-support. :eyes:

If the ship goes down, you'll be going down with it.

You might want to tuck that attitude back in your pants.

Instead, you might want to go post it in Freeperville.

11. did you even read my entire post? I somehow doubt my post would be
appreciated in freeperville. Your post makes no sense at all. I clearly state I'm sympathetic to my fellow democrats who are struggling who can't afford another 4 years of rethug rule. But I'm clearly unsympathetic to those who vote rethug. I could give a shit about them and their struggles b/c well they got what they wanted.

6. Yes, isn't it? The m$$$m has selective outrage
and since they along with hilary's ilk helped to bomb Iraq I don't see the mediawhores getting outraged about the thousands and thousands of poor people who have been killed or maimed for life.
