Obama ADMITS He Kept Attending The Church After Being AWARE Of Wright's Comments
"When these statements first came to my attention, it was at the beginning of my presidential campaign. I made it clear at the time that I strongly condemned his comments. But because Rev. Wright was on the verge of retirement, and because of my strong links to the Trinity faith community, where I married my wife and where my daughters were baptized, I did not think it appropriate to leave the church."

1. Correct... he said he wasn't aware of the SPECIFIC "God Damn America" and "Hillary never been ...
...called a n*****" comments.

He said... SPECIFICALLY... in his interviews on both Countdown and H&C that he was not aware of the SPECIFIC comments that were being replayed on the networks Thursday and Friday nights.

Keep digging...

32. Hey folks...it's not just the preacher. That entire congregation, clapping and cheerin is sick.
That entire display in the video is awful...they were all cheering and dancing about during that awful rhetoric. What a disastrous environment to have participated in for t w e n t y years. You'll never convince me that was a one ane only occurrence that Obama and Michelle happened to miss.
I don't 'fear' those actions....I find them disgusting.

I hate that.

America is ruled by rich white men. Check.

Hillary will never know what its like to face black oppression. Check.

America shouldn't be praised for its brutal, criminal violent historical legacy and its CONTEMPORARY mass murdering violence around the world. Check.

47. If I Wanted To Cherry Pick The Quote...
...I would have just put ellipses where he explained WHY he stayed with the Church. But as you can clearly see, I DID NOT.

37. What's My Point?
I've seen a MYRIAD of Obama supporters say "(Obama wasn't in attendance when Wright made the controversial comments)." But I don't think that even MATTERS, since either way Obama admitted that he was AWARE of the comments.

14. So what...who the hell cares?
Where was the fake outrage when all of the Republican religious hatemongers were spewing their filth?

We heard perhaps a wimper..

Many of you don't see what you are doing..

This is what I see as a black American..

First he was Muslim - The bar = not Christian

Now he has an outspoken Christian preacher = The Bar = Not the right kind of Christian..

What will the next bar be...will it be that his grammer is not quite right?

What about his tailored clothes are not quite right?

Come on we can all play this game...but many of us realize it for what it is - distraction and subtle racism.

you are feeding into this crap and giving McCain a free ride...pat yourselves on the back for helping the Republicans. It's apparant you can't see the big picture because you are mired in the shit...What are you really afraid of?

Many of you may not be comfortable the way the black preachers are fiery and passionate but why should that be Obama's problem? It's your problem. It's America's problem for not dealing with race issues in this country.

By the way I voted for Hillary in the WA caucus I am choosing no side. I am just pointing out the obvious.

Sadly enough, this is the game, and these are the foes we fight. An ig'nant fratboy hick is in the whitehouse, and for a black man to get to the same place, he has to be perfect, or damn near it.

The funny thing is, well, it looks like we found this guy.... :)

27. Google. It was reported in several Wright stories
Of course Obamites have an uncanny ability to "miss" or "forget" anything they don't want to believe, like the fact rethugs voted for Obama in Texas, not Clinton, and in Ohio they split rethugs 49-49 while Obama got spanked among Democrats.

40. Interesting...
...so it's ACCURATE to TRIVIALIZE the Natalie Halloway (or whatever her name is) tragedy as "(a white girl who gave it up in the Carribean)"? Sounds like he's pointlessly degrading the victim there.

(Yes, I realize that he's correct about missing women who are black not getting enough attention. He could have made that point without implying that Natalie Halloway was a SLUT, though. That was uncalled for).

43. The beauty of this
Is that the right wingers are going to be all "He sat in that church EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY for 20 years and never heard anything offensive?"

But the more likely it is that he heard something offensive, the more time he spent sitting in church.

They can't have it both ways; either he's an America hater who goes to church every single blessed week, or he's not an America hater but has sloppy church attendance.

I mean come on, for Joe Baptist down in Pig Holler, Alabama, how is Swiftboating someone by outlining their regular church attendance supposed to work exactly?

Especially when McCain is the most secular fool the Republicans have put up in years. :P
