1. Because he is going to be the nominee...
and some "Democrats" think it is funny to give ammo to Republicans.

On the other hand.. My guy's squeaky clean. He's fully vetted of Rezko and Pastorgate. What about *YOUR* slimy candidate? She's not very forthcoming on the following:

1) Her 2000-2006 taxes
2) Bill's donor list
3) Her earmarks

Obama, on the other hand, has released everything to the public (or will so this week), so you don't have much of a leg to stand on...

EDIT: Oh I must add this - she has NO reason to delay her 2000-2006 taxes either - don't give me any excuse for her.

Hence...slimy.
And...btw...MY candidate is Edwards...you know, the one you and your ilk frothed at the mouth to have him quit the race?
Yeah...him.
Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about the tax returns. I really don't. I suspect you don't either but it gives you something to lather about.

It wasn't even until Feb 5th caucus that I had to reluctantly switch my support to Obama. If your candidate isn't Hillary - I offer my full apologies for the subthread and offer a truce and end this subthread now.

43. Might it also be that they're sensitive because of the generations of beatings,
either literal or figurative, that they, or their fellows, have endured during the long, agonizing slog toward full equality? I'd be pretty sensitive, too. In fact, I am. As a woman, who's seen my kind relegated to second-class status since the creation story was first written down (probably by some man).

it's escalated on the Clinton side (thanks to the former president's poor behavior), and for that matter, this question of yours is another dousing of fuel on the fire.

It's like saying, 'Why are Clinton supporters so sensitive when we tell them their candidate has a .001% of getting the nomination?'

Of course they will argue that they haven't lost any state, because a loss is really a win for them.

Hillary's the devil and her supporters run around with little pitch forks trying to burst the Obama balloon.

Oh, and everything is always our fault, their candidate has NEVER done anything wrong.

Better to be sensitive and care about our fellow human beings than to have hearts of stone and walk all over Hillary's millions of victims again and again, spinning lies, treating this election like some football game and remaining impervious to their cries, uncaring of their pain.

54. I think there are sensitive people supporting both candidates. The Republicans have made such an
unbelievable mess of our country over the last 8 years, that I think we all fell like we've been through the wringer. We all believe that so much more is riding on this election than ever before, so we're all passionate about the person we think will be able to fix things, whether we think that person is Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. I think that's why there is so much sensitivity on both sides. It all comes from a very desperate place: we're desperate to get our country out of this gutter the Republicans made.
