I read she did, but only from one news source.

3. I used to attend Wright's church and considered joining, but stopped after a few visits . . .
Not because he said anything racist that Rev. Wright said - because he never said anything even remotely objectionable in my presence. In fact, I thought he was an excellent, caring and brilliant pastor and preacher.

I stopped going because the church was too big for my tastes. Having grown up in a much smaller church, I found I didn't want to belong to a church with several thousand members. While it didn't make a difference to me in the actual worship service, I preferred a smaller, more intimate church environment for my other church activities. For me, church is about more than the 10 to noon Sunday service. It is a community where I develop close friendships, participate in a strong support network and have a close relationship with my pastor who can provide advice and spiritual guidance to me and my family. I found Trinity too large a venue to offer what I was looking for. So I decided not to join and eventually joined another, smaller church.

There are many reasons that people join and attend a particular church and many reasons they do not.

5. Yes, she is smarter than Obama.
She realized the rhetoric was too strong, and would damage her "Empire". She has an understanding of how "perception" could effect her business.

7. Or maybe she just has less faith in people...
...NOT to act like idiots and accept soundbytes as entire stories? Maybe Obama just expects people to be able to judge things on their own without hysteria.

If so, then, if DU is any indicator, he's unfortunately wrong.

8. No, I read the opposite
That Wright is rare among African American preachers in terms of preaching tolerance for GLBT's. I think he might not have always been that way, but he definitely is now.
