Kerry "took too long to get back on Message" on Hardball. Maybe his l
low key strategy will work. He did knock out Gebhardt and Dean when some didn't see him coming from the flanks.

But, OMG, given what's going on in Iraq and Syria today...it's hard for us seeing that to understand where he's coming from.

Granted that "Matthews, Hard Ball" might have been taped before the "interview with Kerry" which is likely and probably the truth, Kerry didn't have the airtime to strike back.

But, I'm left wondering "who will speak for us DU "anti-Iraq Invasion" folks. Who will speak to us...and for us.

And, as I said, maybe this interview was "pre-taped" before today's events in Fallujah where a new "Shock and Awe" is in progress, or before the grenade bombs in Damascus, Syria.

I don't know. The interview left me wanting to have Kerry move the topic from his "Medals Throwing" to the fact that the Chimp is "Person Unknown" or "AWOL" during Viet Nam.

But then, posting this puts me in jeopardy of being called a "Kerry Basher" when I'm only answering an "honest question" I've asked my own self.

1. Good point
I'm a strong Kerry supporter, but getting on message has definitely been his weakness lately. He and his advisors ought to take a few days off, hide out somewhere and craft a vision and message for this campaign. Because they sure don't have one now.

Many people are open to voting for Kerry, but he has to close the sale. And he hasn't even begun doing that.

2. I hear you
but I think that Kerry feels he needs to support his vote for war and I really believe he believes he did the right thing my voting for the resolution. Even if we do not agree. Also, although I personally like Kerry, and think he is a good choice (not my first), he is the best we have.

3. i disagree
the public isn't getting inundated with Falluja, they are getting hammered about Kerry's medals.

Let him answer this crap. The war is doing it's own damage on Bush.

4. One consolation is that the EU is fighting now.
at least on the Sharon Plan. They are going to tie peace efforts to trade. They are Israel's biggest trading partners and Kerry stakes his reputation on having a better relationship with the EU. He can't have a good relationship with them if he persues Bush's foreign policy.

5. Today....
...IMO, this is the best Kerry has sounded. Lots of fire that I have not seen before. Looking good to me! Now...if he would do this on the stump! :toast:

8. I agree

His answers are in your face in a nice way.
He is not rambling on as he sometimes does.
I thought his message was great!

6. I know everyone is really freaked out over this election (as I am)
but I think Kerry is doing alright. With all that has come out on bush he should be toast. If it was not for the media I think Kerry would be way ahead. It seem like we have to reach the lowest denomination of people out there, in other words we need some media help...the question is how do we do that?

9. This is one thing he has to do....move off the crap and onto another
topic of more importance.

Wes Clark did this masterfully last Thursday on Blitzer. He defended Kerry's 1971 comments and turned it all back to Iraq. Beautifully, succintly.

Sigh.
