1. This is how a President stands up to Swift Boating.
Nice try, Hillary.
You have played your Ace in the Hole.
The only problem is that Obama has a Royal Flush.
Game over.

16. This whole charade is designed by the Clintons to get SDs to switch over.
Unfortunately for her, Obama doesn't run solely on one attribute or issue.

19. Obama has yet to explain how he stood for the Hate America for 20yrs and never stopped it!
Combine that with Michelle's Thesis, "The Racial Divide".. advocating "Black Separatism", as they do in Wright's Church, there is a correlation between their private beliefs and the pap the sell Americans on the stump!

This little issue is fatal for us if Obama is the nominee.

43. do you have any evidence of 'hate america' statements made at any time except in the clips?
You are taking 30 seconds out of one sermon and saying it is representative of 20 years of preaching.
That shows a lack of intelligence on your part.

Would you like your whole life to be equivocated to a single post you made on this board?
I think not, because you have made some downright stupid comments here.

32. Yes, it does seem to be coming from the repugs...
but Hillary's camp won't hesitate to amplify it. The real "dope pushers" here, as always, are the media, whose fondest hope is to play everything all the way to a brokered convention, hopefully with riots and blood and stuff - they're all a-twitter.

53. Actually, if these kinds of statements were regularly made
Then we'd have more video/audio/writings to point to. If you don't think Wright's sermons were exhaustively searched in the last week for more "Gotcha" moments you're naive.

It most certainly isn't outside of reason to say that he hasn't attended every single service.

Let's be real, do you honestly think Obama flies back home from Washington to Chicago every weekend just to attend church?

28. People always bring up the teleprompter thing. I don't understand that
at all. Teleprompters, IMO, aren't indicative of anything.

I used to teach seminars to educators regarding working with kids with behavioral and emotional disorders. I did this quite often, across multiple states. Even though it was the same seminar, over and over, I always used notes and some of that was written out verbatim, so that I could give exact quotes and not mess it up. While I wasn't an amazing public speaker, I kept my audience entertained and informed and never thought that by using visuals assists I was less sincere or knowledgable.

35. In Most Situations I Don't Mind Them At All. But I Think It's Use Was Wrong Here.
It makes his message come across less from the heart and more politically prepared, and causes him to have to read it instead of coming off as more personable and sincere talking straight to us through the camera. He loses a bit of his personal touch because of that, and I think it shows through the video. I think it would have more of an impact if he had been able to just speak to the camera directly from his heart, and bring through that charm we love him for. It just didn't come through as much to me, that's all.

38. If nothing else
getting out ahead of a controversy and addressing it directly is the only move with any hope of positive effect. Delay or equivocation, whether justified or not, allows opponents to cast you as weaselly in the public mind. Apparently, Obama has very good instincts, he's not as callow as some insist.

47. The beauty of The Smear is ....
.... it doesn't have to be rational. With each smear thrown, some little bit sticks, diminishing the target -- even if a smear is objectively and publicly proven false.

"Obama is a muslim" will stick with some morons.

"Obama supports militant blacks" will scare off some, even without affecting those already persuaded by the muslim message.

And tying it all together with an overarching theme, like "Obama says one thing in public, another in private," helps with each smear's penetration.

(Not that being a muslim should be considered a smear or considered at all. But the reality of the Presidential campaign carries a different, saddening context.)
