Another Media Assassination: Wright and Rezko = Dean Scream Part II
If the media makes a big enough deal out of something, it must matter, right?

If we judge our politicians by their church pastors or their shadiest contributors, we're not going to have any politicians left.

This will be a good test of exactly how relevant the corporate media is in this day and age.

4. I'm willing to pin this one on the media.
Even if it does come from Hillary, I think ultimately the powers that be don't want a relatively progressive black man in the White House, and they can already tell that McCain has a bit of a glass jaw in terms of offering a third Bush term.

The only solution is to destroy Obama. They don't do it with bullets anymore, they do it with trumped up tabloid outrage bullshit.

God forbid we get a politician in the White House beholden to a million small donors instead of the Military Industrial Complex and the Health Care industry.

7. At least around here it's a sad little band of Hillarists

You can count em on two hands and they're out for blood.
Too bad they're hurting their own candidate so badly.
No one wants to be associated with meanspirited crap like that.
They botched their own brand and it's pretty darn funny.

As for the media... they're playing all sides. Emphasis on playing.
They get paid by the viewer and it's in their self interest to
sustain controversy... no matter how manufactured.

2. Good thing for us, Hillary doesn't have anything at all she can be Swift Boated with....
she is pure as the driven snow and nobody would dare say anything negative about her in the general election. Besides, everyone is on hillary's side. The main stream media want so much for a Democrat to be president they will do everything in their power to help Hillary and diss McCain once she gets the nomination. (I don't think I have to say SARC, but, just in case...SARC!)

6. I actually think the media probably leans Hillary in the general.
The storyline is Bush Clinton Bush Clinton, they've been pushing it for years. Obama has to be destroyed to make it happen.

3. Nah - I think the tables will flip on this one.
I think the Media is in shock that Obama came to them, gave them all interviews, and laid it out on the table. Anderson Cooper's show was extremely favorable, IMO. They even went on to have an intelligent discussion about it. Not a single voice raised, and when the one guy tried to raise objections - it was easily countered with quotes and comments from Hagee, Robertson, and Parsley. It was a great interview. Olbermann's was good open, but not as strong, IMO. Faux was a more amateur than I expected. I was thinking Hannity would be screaming at him. Instead they had some major up there treating him like he was on trial. I think at one point he even used the word "indicted" in reference to Obama's association with Wright. I was like WTF? But obama handed it great - trying not to laugh and saying ,"Yes" over and over again, LOL.

5. I agree with you.
I don't think it will ultimately work, but it's the same thing for the same reason.
