So, given a hypothetical choice

Between candidate A and candidate B, given the following options, which would you prefer?

Choosing Candidate A would likely win the election and become president, and the Democrats would do ok at the polls nation wide, Resulting in a 10 seat gain in the House and a 1 seat loss in the Senate.

Choosing Candidate B would possibly result in an electoral college loss, and a republican would become president. However choice B has much more support in the states that they do win, and brings it closer in the states that, winning a vast popular vote majority, and has coattails causing the Democrats to do amazingly at the polls, picking up 30 House seats and 17 in the Senate.


Given those Hypothetical choices in the primary, which would you choose?

7. War powers act. The President can kill half the population of the world and

have 60 days for a victory lap before he even tells congress what it was all about.

Look at it this way... was the world a better place with Bill Clinton and a republican congress, or with Bush with a Dem congress? And Bush is an unpopular lame duck!

The president has a zillion ways to roll congress.

And even 60 votes in the senate used to best advantage could only guarantee, at best, that no judicial appointment was passed for four years. The President always has congress over a barrel on judicial appointments.

If Stevens and Ginsberg died and the senate wouldn't approve replacements, the court would keep chugging along with a 5-2 nazi majority.

And congress cannot make the executive do a good job... all they can do is make the executive branch spend some money ostensibly for purposes x, y and z. But they cannot make the president really care or even try.

I have great respect for the power of the presidency.

9. I really dont think it was

I was aiming at a more intelectual question. I do not believe that my candidate A or Candidate B correspond to either of our democratic hopefuls. I am less optomistic that I was in December, but I believe that either of our candidates would beat McCain, and that our margins in both senate and house will increase either way.

Only the Commander-in-chief can get us out of Iraq, and the Supreme court cannot be allowed to become stacked with another relatively young conservative with a political prejudice.

I think that we will gain more Senate seats that a -1. The vast majority of seats that are up are republican.
