No matter which candidate you support, there are these things to remember..
Most people in the US do NOT follow the news cycle like we do
Most people read the sports page, the comics & their local sections..and not much else
Many people don't even GET the neswpaper anymore
Most people online are probably looking at Facebook, MySpace , playing online-poker or maybe looking at the "naughties"
On a GOOD day most people are NOT watching CNN, MSNBC or even FOX.. they are watching sports, soaps, game shows, Dancing With the Stars, Deal or No deal, Oprah, etc..
The people who hate ..............., or ............. will still hate them, no matter what..just as the ones who love ......... will still love .........
The idiots will still listen to Rush et al, BUT they were not going to vote for ANY candidate we put forth..
Many people are not even paying attention to the primaries until they are in their own state, and even with record turn out, there are many more who will not vote until the general.
General-only voters, are not very politically savvy, and often choose for cuteness & personality... they are unlikely to have even read much about the candidates .
Any article that is longer than a paragraph will likely be unread by MOST people.
We agonize daily over ever blip on the radar screen, but WE are not the majority..
As painful to us all as it is, we just have to hang on and slog through this nightmare primary season and rest assured that McCain's "bounce" is nothing more than the fact that he's the last one standing in his party, and everyone's pretty much ignoring him these days..
Somewhere in the bowels of the DNC, and at Move-On, there are anti-McCain ads being prepared. No need to waste them now, when no one is even watching him
