Obama is running on his "good judgement".
He opposed the war and that showed his good judgement, that is his meme. Did he show good judgement by sitting in the pews of Wright's church for 17 years?

35. I thought he didnt know about Writes sermons?
Why doesnt OBama just admit he knows about Writes positions and that is the way it is in a black church and move on? It really shouldnt be such a big deal. I saw nothing wrong with Writes sermons, he just speaks his mind like all ministers do. Obama needs to be a little more honest when it comes to stuff like this otherwise it will haunt him down the road.

Wright is his friend. He doesn't agree with him, but they are still friends. What is wrong with that?

6. Party for your right to fight
Power, equality
And we're out to get it
I know some of you ain't wid it
This party started right in '66
With a pro-Black radical mix
Then at the hour of twelve
Some force cut the power
And emerged from hell
It was your so called government
That made this occur
Like the grafted devils they were

J. Edgar Hoover, and he coulda proved to you
He had King and X set up
Also the party with Newton, Cleaver and Seale
He ended, so get up
Time to get em back
( You got it )
Get back on the track
( You got it )
Word from the honorable Elijah Muhammed
Know who you are to be Black

To those that disagree it causes static
For the original Black Asiatic man
Cream of the earth
And was here first
And some devils prevent this from being known
But you check out the books they own
Even masons they know it
But refuse to show it, yo
But it's proven and fact
And it takes a nation of millions to hold us back

8. I finally figured the defense for obama saying he was a member
of this church for 20 years and never heard mr wright preach about anti white, anti Jew, anti Israel, anti white america etc etc......

It is the listening and hearing part of White Men Can't Jump". "Look man, I can listen to pastor wright but I can't hear him. There's a difference man. Just because I'm listening to him doesn't mean I'm hearing him.

Damn! I guess case dismissed....................hold on there obama "you anorexic malnutrition tapeworm-having overdose on Dick Gregory Bahamian diet-drinking ass up."

more obama logic: Sometimes when you win, you really lose, and sometimes when you lose, you really win, and sometimes when you win or lose, you actually tie, and sometimes when you tie, you actually win or lose. Winning or losing is all one organic mechanism, from which one extracts what one needs.

Understand now? uh huh thought so...

The stuff off Fox News really wasn't that impressive. The only bad part was "God Damn America". The context was obvious though. When America does wrong it should be called.

12. Yep. Nobody's gotten killed by any of Wright's sermons.
I don't feel any less safe for him saying those things. As someone said earlier, he's like a black Noam Chomsky. that doesn't mean I agree with it, but then i don't think people go to church to hear meticulously-reasoned political analysis, they go to get their moral fervour stoked up.

I think you are assuming that this kind of politics of fear has legs. I know you're hoping for it, but surely you must know this bullshit only matters to those that weren't going to vote for him anyway.

Plus the fact that McCain has his only personal freakshow of this 6-degrees kind of relationship, so, um, I'm not sure what you are expecting to get from this, what you and the Clintons and the the GOP vis a vis Rush Limbaugh are hoping blossoms from this, but I can tell you what it provided was a wonderful opportunity for Barack to talk to Anderson Cooper about race and religion and politics in an interview tonight. Barack took this attempted clusterfuck and turned it into an opportunity to discuss his vision for America. This guy has moves.

So, good luck on your campaign here at DU. My feeling is that if Barack beats the Clintons aided by Rush Limbaugh + the MSM + McCain + the wingnuts, it's time for Ms. Flick to fold up tent and go home. Barack has a general election to wage.

31. He admits his faults ...

He admits his faults and gets it over with. His "boneheaded"ness extends to issues of perception. Hillary's bonheadedness resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. You really want to compare that to buying 1/6 of a parcel at 1/6 of the price of the entire parcel. Again, Obama has math on his side.

Wright's an incredible minister, gifted orator, and all around hoopy frood.

I suggest you learn more about his work, his church, and about Black Liberation Theology, because you might have to explain it to the less educated when you're knocking on doors come November.

26. I kept waiting for Olbermann to ask Obama about that tonight
It was the glaring question, the one that had to be asked. Hell, Obama's banner underneath his podium says, "Judgment to Lead."

Don't believe for one second that Olbermann doesn't know that, and therefore the contradiction, an apparent ongoing lack of judgment. At very least the topic had to be addressed, even in Olbermann's PR style toward Obama.

And if Olbermann didn't realize it then he's even more incompetent and imbalanced than the past two months have displayed. Does anyone believe for one second he wouldn't have summoned the question and skewered Hillary on the same topic, if she were running on judgment?

Olbermann may be a baseball fanatic but he's revealed himself to be pure softball in a political sense. Underhand and slow.

27. My parents quit going to their Presbyterian
church back in 1960 when the pastor told the congregation not to vote for a Catholic. Obama sat there and listened to Rev. Right for 17 years and considered him a friend and mentor. Now we are supposed to believe he never heard him speak like that before, if someone comes up with a video of him sitting in on one of those "sermons" he is toast.
