Design the ad that will counter the inevitable RW smear based on Rev Wright
If this is easy to defend against, what sort of an ad would you design to counter what some 527 will be saying over the tapes of Wright.

(And before you accuse me of being a Hillary supporter, stop to do some research. I dare you to try to find a pattern of me supporting her ..... or any other candidate ..... this cycle.)

1. Husb2Sparkly I think this is a great idea.
You counter it by taking peices of footage of all of the Republican preachers that met weekly with * in his prayer sessions.....and play some of the hate mongering, racist filth that they preach....and end the commercial with...Obama dissasociated himself from Rev Wright, * never did....and then show McCain with his new hate monger rev....and McCain saying the preacher reflects his views

3. "I don't turn my back on people, especially the man who brought me to Jesus"
or something of that nature.

4. I wouldn't do a commercial I'd beat McCain over the head with it in a debate where
our candidate can destroy him on this issue.

There will be no need to run ads directly. If they run an ad, fire back with all the crazy rightwingers who have said things 10,000 times worse and from a standpoint of dominance.

6. The big difference is that Hagee is, to McLame, 'just some reverend" whereas Wright is .....
...... Obama's long time pastor, mentor, "like an uncle" (<---- direct Obama quote from his stint on Olbermann tonight), christener of his kids, performer of his marriage to his wife, dear personal friend, reverend.

7. Then Obama is better positioned to talk about what he found valuable in their relationship should
he be asked.

I'm sure he can handle himself on this one.

5. Best defense is a good offense. Say that John McCain sought Hagee's endorsement...
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 08:36 PM by Eric J in MN
...and show Hagee's dubious statements:

a) saying that Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment
b) calling the Catholic church "The Great Whore"

8. Thank You For This. Cause I Really Want To See What Some Can Come Up With.
That's the biggest part about what's been bothering me all day. I keep saying and I keep thinking that Obama has to respond to this with massive skill in order to diffuse it, yet I have no idea what that means. I've been wracking my brain all day trying to come up with a way we could overcome that type of ad, since the visuals will be overpowering. As of yet, I haven't thought of one that can do it. But my brain is burnt, I'm tired and I'm not at my best. So I'm really hoping some here will have that answer, and that they'll do better than Hagee since I don't think that even comes close.

9. Design the ad that will counter the smear that Bill Clinton received blow jobs in the White House,
and now he wants back in.

Talk about guilt by association--Hillary's married to him!
