It will peak too early. Furthermore, it takes some of the "punch" out of a General election attack on this issue. Already time to address it, the media is already bored of it, there's no more "there" there and it gives the campaign plenty of time to develop a counter-offensive.

The main critical thing I would have to say to the Obama campaign right now, is that they are failing to launch a counter-attack and reclaim some control over the media cycles.

The need to develop a strategy to be seen as on the offensive rather than on the defensive, with camp Clinton sort of setting the media agenda, and the topics, and the tone. However, I'd like to see that happen about April 1st. Right now, I'm COOL with a rope-a-dope strategy, let all this stuff come out in March, weather it, let it flame-out in the media a bit, and then launch an aggressive counter offensive starting April 1st and pushing through the Pennsylvania primary. Put Clinton campaign into the position of having to respond to stories / issues or / controversies they're not manufacturing in a defensive position at that time.
