Oh wow. Remember that argument that because Hillary won California in the primary she's the only one who can win it in the general and we better nominate her because she won the big blue states? LOL.

Also notable:

Obama is viewed favorably by 59% of the state’s voters, McCain by 49%, and Clinton by 47%.

2. Hillary is a potential liability on the west coast
dragging down state and local candidates along with her. Latest poll from Wa. state has her down by 8% to McCain.

17. Irrelevant
Comparing governors to federal elections is pointless. Take a look at which party holds the governorships in Wyoming, Oklahoma, Montana and Kansas. All states that we clearly won't win. People are much more willing to cross over in voting in a gubernatorial election than any federal one.

Bill Foster who just won Hastert's seat was Obama's guy. Obama supported him and even cut a commercial ad for him.

edited for link: http://www.foster08.com/2008/02/obama_says_bill.html

That's the way we win, by creating a supermajority!

23. This is where unfavorability comes in.
That's why the terminator lost. Davis' unfavorability was sky high. Kind of like Hill's.

7. I am tellin' ya....
...in SoCal the mood against Hillary is NOT nice. She might have taken the primary back when, but I am betting that if Calif voted today, she would lose.

She is sooooooooo very disliked at this time for what has gone on in her campaign since we voted here.

Therefore, it is no surprise to me that Obama does much better against McCain than does Hillary.

JMHO

13. In all fairness, it says this:
That latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the nation’s most populous state shows Barack Obama leading John McCain 53% to 38%. Hillary Clinton leads McCain 46% to 39%.

The state remains in the Safely Democratic column according to the Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator.

Both candidates can beat McCain with comfortable margins.

18. Yeah that's my point
Obama has a lead over McCain more than twice as much, but Hillary and the Hillbots keep saying that because of the primary results, she can win it and Obama can't. That clearly isn't showing. I don't dispute that either candidate would win California easily, the Hillbots do.

21. You make a good point and I hear you.
I just wanted to make sure it was clear that either could win the state at this point, since so few actually look at links here.

And while I have your attention, I just want to express to you that calling Clinton supporters Hillbots really does offend some good people with whom you probably have a lot in common.
