Foster wins Hastert's conservative district WITHOUT WEARING A FLAG LAPEL PIN
It seems the people of IL 14 were able to overlook the fact that Oberweis wore a HUGE flag, while Prof. Foster wore (gasp) NONE! Check out the video:

is it possible that a lapel pin is not a deal-breaker? Stay tuned.

6. If all the GOP criminals were incarcerated, the US ratio would go from 1/100
to about 6/100. We'd have to replace the garbage barges with Republican barges

2. I Love Me Some Non-Lapel Pin Wearing Candidates.
In all honesty, I really hate how the repukes have turned the flag around to be a symbol of hatred in so many ways. I get sick seeing the "support the troops" ribbons - because that's not really the sentiment behind it. I haven't put my flag up since shortly after going to war, because the belief that if you do - you support it. The list goes on.

I told my DH the day that a Democrat wins the nomination... My flag is going up, even if I have to stand outside and hold it myself (we moved to a brick front house, and need a way to hang it now).

3. Ah gee, I was going to design a flag pin with a cross... (just kidding, I have no artistic talent)
I am so disgusted with the smallness (is that a word?) of some of these issues. Flag pins, purple band-aids, "drinking the Kool-aid", "but he/she did it first"---maybe I am just getting old...?
