After all, MLK wasn't always the smiling, happy preacher. Sometimes he was pretty damn angry.

1. Your question illustrates both how far we have come--and haven't.

Profound social change, and yet the racial back-and-forth is very strong now, 40+ years later. Careful thought will be so much more beneficial than fiery reactions.....

2. Angry?
I don't think we are talking angry, I think we are talking stupid. To campare Pastor Wright to MLK, come on, you have to be kidding. Even though I have heard that MLK did have Marxist tendencies. I think we need to wake up and realize this candidate may not have been taken his sheep to shear, it might have been to slaughter. Never follow anyone blindly.

3. King called for the unity among white and black. Wright thinks unity cannot be achieved
He said in '06 that no black would ever be elected president.

King did not rationalize terrorist attacks against America either.

4. Now this is a good question.
Probably we would. Although I don't think we were as quick to tear down our heroes in the 60s as we are now...
