This is the kind of thing that Superdelegates were meant for.
"Nixon wanted to run against McGovern, and look who he's running against." - Deep Throat, All The President's Men

We have Republicans, including at least one talk show host with somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 million listeners each day, openly bragging about how they're crossing party lines to vote for Clinton, knowing that she'll be easier to beat, or will at least bloody Obama so much that he can't win in November.

This is exactly the kind of thing the Superdelegates were created to stop.

The idea was that when someone (or something) seizes control of the selection process, with the aim of picking a weaker candidate, then the party leaders could step in and put a stop to it.

The evidence is clear: Hillary's latest showings have been boosted by Republicans voting for her because they know she will lose, or to harm our front-runner. The Superdelegates have to step in. They cannot support her any longer, and if Obama is too bloodied by the process to survive November, then they have to deadlock the first ballot and help find a compromise candidate.

That's what they're there for. Now it's time for them to do their job.
