I wonder what the answer would be today.

1. The answer would almost certainly be a spittle-flying, name-calling attack on you,
your morals, your intelligence, and your family.

That's what would happen in GD-P today. And probably will.

2. .
Just taking the temperature.

However I might be the only person on this board capable of killing my own thread. I don't expect much response.

4. We may lose a few, but at the end of the day
most of us are going pull the Dem lever. Even those who have used the "x is no better than (McCain, Bush, Satan, etc.)" rhetoric for their candidate. Tempers will cool, but it'll take awhile.

It's gotten ugly.

5. I'm not sure anyone in the party assumed Hillary could lose...
I never supported Hillary, but I thought her nomination was inevitable... until Iowa.

I always thought the knock-down drag-out would be over in the Fourth Reich (aka GOP). How they managed to nominate somebody w/o drawing much in the way of blood amazes me. I thought Rudy or Romney would get it, and that McCain was DOA (look at his poll numbers 6 months ago).

Crazy, crazy primary season. Reminds me of 1968.

6. Same thing I've always said.

I will vote for the Democratic nominee.
