"I can bridge some of the partisan as well as racial and religious divides.."

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/editorial/5546874.html

In a conference call, Obama told the Chronicle editorial board that "more than any other candidate,

I can bridge some of the partisan as well as racial and religious divides that have developed in this

country that prevent us from getting things done."

Right.

4. Obama has never bent over
and he's a much smarter fighter than hilly. Clue: He's winning. She's losing. duh. She's such a lousy fighter I can't believe people are still trying to sell that one. And I don't think that the Wright thing will be nearly as big as you hillbots desperately hope. Obama is damned good at maneuvering around these attacks. Hilly is the one who bends over time after time. She certainly bent over for bush.

8. sorry
you can't peddle that bullshit, dear. Obama's fuck up over McClurkin has nothing to do with bending over- not the way hilly did for the chimp, backing his illegal war. And hilly's sold out to corporate interests so many times that it's hard to keep count. Check out her bankruptcy vote. Hilly sucks as a fighter. She's all bravado and bullshit. Oh, and she's an inveterate liar.

9. So is Obama darlin'At the end of the day he is just as much of a sellout as all the rest.
he is just "pretending" to be different. He said it best about himself"People project on me what they want to see". Obama himself said "he "needed" those black votes that McClurkin represented and he couldn't afford to alienate them. He said he couldn't win them over unless he "reached out to them". he said many black ministers were of the same opinion as McClukin.

7. I think it is correct that Obama has run a more hopeful and positive campaign
so far. That was one reason for Hillary's whole 'hope versus experience" tack. I think much of the reason for his popularity so far has been a perception by many that believe he, or at least his candidacy, could lead to a more positive and productive approach. In fact I would guess that most American voters, by a pretty large margin would say Obama would be more able to do this than Hillary. So I don't have the same perspective as your "Right" comment implies you perhaps do.

But my guess is that even Jesus Christ, Mohatma Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Jr. all come back to life and working together could probably not make a dent in the pointless, destructive partisan bickering going on on DU now, so it perhaps becomes irrelevant what some dumbass voters think Obama, or anyone, could or could not do.

Sad, how easily people can be seduced into open warfare.
