8. Yes, she is.
She is beating her main Democratic rival by big margins in the polls. She is the Lt. governor.

Is that you with your dog? Didn't mean to make the dog more important. Sorry about that. But he sure is cute.

24. well dammit, now who do i pick?
I always leaned toward Bev Perdue because of name recognition. I'll admit I've been so consumed with the presidential primaries, I haven't taken the time to really get to know the gubernatorial candidates. This is going to be hard.

28. Well, actually that does help...
I think I like them both and would be happy with either. Just heard on the news this morning that Richard endorsed a month ago, and Bev just endorsed this week. Hmmm....

To be fair, since I'm voting for Obama at the top of the ticket, perhaps I should vote for the female gub candidate. But Richard is just so good looking, I'd love to see him run for Dole's seat.

14. Is she a superdelegate?
I'm genuinely curious. Probably not, since she's a gubernatorial candidate, not a governor, but it's possible if she's a bigwig in the DNC.

26. I am leaning toward Bev but worry it is for the wrong reasons
I am leaning toward Bev (and endorsing the candidate I am NOT voting for the primaries does not turn me off to her. I don't get "outraged" over endorsements. How silly.) but I worry it is wrong to vote for her because I really want a woman Gov. Is that a bad idea? Richard Moore (also endorsed Obama) has provided more details about his positions. I have watched all of their campaign ads, been to their websites, watched video clips of their debates. This is is a really difficult choice to make, and I don't have long to make up my mind. :(

I want to make the right choice. Is it wrong to vote for someone because she is a woman? I'm a man at that, but I would still really like to see more women in power in politics.
