WHY do we seem hell bent on giving the Republican'ts the White House again?
Lets see:

All the acrimony between the candidates themselves, the smears by proxy, the CONSTANT sexism/racism drumbeat, the LOUSY EXCUSE for a DNC, the refusal of the 'democratic leadershit' to actually LEAD, standing around with their hands in their pockets waiting for divine intervention, I guess.

How does ANYONE remotely associated with the Democratic party expect the independents and the "Reagan repubs" to cross over and actually vote for one of our candidates? Fucking RUSH LIMBAUGH is almost running this election. Doesn't anyone want to throw up at the idea that HE seems to have a more concrete vision of what to do next than either of the Democratic campaigns??

I am a lifelong Democrat and I have SERIOUS doubts as to the maturity and stability of the candidates, their cadres, advisors and last but not least, their supporters here.

I freely admit to baiting, teasing, trolling and namecalling, so this is not a case of the pot calling the kettle....

I don't know what to do at this late date. The longer this horseshit goes on, the worse our chances in November. Three months ago I would have bet my HOUSE on a sweep of the Federal Govt, from soup to nuts. Now, not so much.

We are writing THEIR playbook. Basically they can sleep until September.

I'm just sayin'

1. The GOP has nominated a very strong candidate
People can talk about McCain being old and all this other shit but the fact is he's a very appealing figure to people who are non-activists of either party.

IMO the food fight betweenn HRC and BO will have little to do with the outcome in November.

2. what is the alternative?
I am not a member of an organized political party. I am a democrat - Will Rogers

Part of being a progressive is allowing free thought. It actually causes a lot of problems though in reality.

3. A year ago
I was confident that a Democrat would be a shoe-in for the presidency, assuming Duhbya didn't declare martial law before the election. Sure, I remembered that Gore blew it by distancing himself from one of the best presidents we've ever had; and Kerry pissed his chance away by playing nice with the rightwingers. But I thought, "geeze, we could run bin Laden himself and still win by a landslide.

Never underestimate the power of stupidity and short-sided politics.

4. While I'm sure both Obama and Clinton supporters would be outraged
I honestly believe we need a compromise candidate who is NOT either of those two.
and then put Obama and Clinton in the cabinet as long as we're certain to hold those Senatorial seats.
