Those other guys who actually win elections don't obsess over some small point someone made-- they ignore it and carry on with the big picture.

But, what do we do? We sit around and piss and moan over what Ferraro, or Wright, or Olbermann, or whatever latest demonized ex-hero said.

Does it help to parse and piss around Ferraro's "racism"? Of course not, but that seems to be more important to some people than actually dealing with selecting a candidate.

McCain got chewed up and spit out by the Bush pimps 8 years ago, but has anyone heard him or his people do anything but hold lovefests for his tornentor? Of course not, because they concentrate on the prize, not the insult of the day or holding a grudge. If he pulls it off in November it will be more from assholes on our side getting miffed and raising hell about some silly remark than any great aupport or genius on his side.
