Transcript of Kerry vs Talking Head
Kerry: I don't know how many time I have to say this but polls are meaningless at this stage of the game. What is meaningfull is, is that Barack Obama has won more states, more delegates, and more of the popular vote.

Talking Head: Well if we didn't have these polls we wouldn't have much to talk about around here.

Kerry: Well you wouldn't have anything to talk about but perhaps the American people would have something to think about!

Talking Head: OH WE KNOW YOURE BUSY GOTTA RUN BYE!

Kerry: Um...

1. Remember 2004...
Edited on Thu Mar-13-08 11:26 AM by rsmith6621

When ever bush was at a rally the media would cover the entire speech....but when Kerry was on and would start launching in to bushes failed policy's they would quickly break for a commercial and not come back to him afterwards...

Nothing has changed

5. Newsmedia REFUSED to broadcast Kerry's speech to Firefighters Convention where he attacked swifts
and challenged Bush to stop hiding behind them and publicly debate both their services during Vietnam.

That clip from the speech never made it into regular rotation on any of the news networks, though you clearly had the Dem nominee AFTER his convention challenging the president to DEBATE their war records and accused Bush of HIDING BEHIND the swifts.

Then the media perception set in as if that speech never happened.

12. Contessa Brewster
(I could be wrong but I think she was teh one who at one time was Rush Limbaugh's girlfriend)

She really looked furious when Kerry spoke of Americans thinking - which is hilarious if you think about it. How can anyone NOT want people to think. The Senator's voice was great, strong and confident when he said this. Cutting it there just made Kerry's point more obvious - as it was right before the abrupt end of conversation.

10. Since it's a talk show with two elites talking, where is the voice of
the American people? Kerry needs to review the 2025 rule.

More states? They are really desperate to keep spinning like that.

14. There is no comparision between Brewster and the Honorable Mr Kerry
She has her job because of looks. Senator Kerry is the duly elected Senator from MA, who has done a huge amount of good work. He also is the last man to get the majority of pledged delegates needed - well before we went through as many states as we now have. That does give him some real claim to be one voice of American Democrats. For you, not so much a case can be made.

The Senator is completely aware of the 2025 number - and I tend to believe that he is more informed than you when he says that the superdelegates are unlikely to overturn the winner of the pledged delegates - he actually knows many of them and has spoken to them.

As to desperate, in addition to more states, Obama has:
- the most pledged delegates, with over 10% more than HRC
- More total delegates
- more money raised from more donors
- usually polls better against McCain.

HRC does exceed him in:
- baggage - ehere are those tax forms?
- chutzpah

15. Clintons PROTECT the elites for decades - the powerful elites Kerry worked YEARS to expose
and you want to play it like Kerry deserves no voice or opinion?

Traitors to the Dem party and to the historic record who covered up more government corruption of BushInc get your devotion and the man who uncovered more government corruption than any lawmaker in modern history gets your scorn?

What does that say about YOUR priorities?

11. Contessa Brewer
I also saw this Kerry interview. He made a very good point about the polls and the media fanning the flames to fill air time. I believe the anchor was Contessa Brewer and she seemed quite taken aback by his statement.
