6. I was just saying to a friend that pressure may be mounting for Gore to step in and endorse someone
He is, whether he likes it or not, one of the "elders" of the party -- one of the most important party elders at that, having served in national office, having run for and, in the eyes of the vast majority of Democrats, won, the 2000 election, having obtained international recognition for his work on climate change, etc. etc.

If the party blows up over obama v. clinton, questions will be -- and should be -- raised as to what Gore did or didn't do to try to keep the party -- his party -- intact.

Whether he does it through a public endorsement or otherwise, he needs to step up to the plate and try to calm the waters (to mix metaphors).

The link in the OP shows the graph and the polls ... and links to the results without Gore, which is what I posted. I thought they were providing results of the same poll with Gore removed. I never noticed the date.
