Obama Campaign Calls Clinton Out on the "Big State" Spin.
When we won Iowa, the Clinton campaign said it's not the number of states you win, it's "a contest for delegates."

When we won a significant lead in delegates, they said it's really about which states you win.

When we won South Carolina, they discounted the votes of African-Americans.

When we won predominantly white, rural states like Idaho, Utah, and Nebraska, they said those didn't count because they won't be competitive in the general election.

When we won in Washington State, Wisconsin, and Missouri -- general election battlegrounds where polls show Barack is a stronger candidate against John McCain -- the Clinton campaign attacked those voters as "latte-sipping" elitists.

And now that we've won more than twice as many states, the Clinton spin is that only certain states really count.

But the facts are clear.

For all their attempts to discount, distract, and distort, we have won more delegates, more states, and more votes.

Meanwhile, more than half of the votes that Senator Clinton has won so far have come from just five states. And in four of these five states, polls show that Barack would be a stronger general election candidate against McCain than Clinton.

This came in an email from David Plouffe

13. Right.
Since most of them go blue usually no matter who the nominee is it's a weak selling point at best.

3. When does Obama start talking about policy?
All he ever talks about is Hillary.

4. Good god. That is where the race is.

The issues and policies have been hammered and debated for the better part of a year. It has moved on to the personal, on both sides. The longer it goes on, the less the policies are mentioned.

That is on both sides.

7. No, that's backwards. He's in the lead. He doesn't need to talk
about Clinton. She, on the other hand, has to try to chip at him and is failing.

9. He absolutely crushes her in first-time voters, too.
This is the big issue with all the down-ballot candidates. I'm sure that Dem challengers of Republican seats will fare better with Obama as the nominee, but none of them are superdelegates because they haven't been elected yet.

11. The HRC Campaign Is Spinning This Primary Contest Like *Co Has....
spun their reasons for going into Iraq. 9/11; WMD; Evil Dictator; Al Quida; Democracy - ever changing spin on a losing proposition.

There are a lot of similarities here - I'm surprised that a lot of the HRC supporters that criticized *Co for doing this can't see that the same tactics are being used by the HRC campaign.

This is why I find it hard to support HRC. I've had enough of this crap for the last 7+ years and I don't want to see this continued - especially by a Dem.

Sorry - but that's the way I feel about this.

12. You make a good point.
Also, notice how anyone who criticizes the Clinton campaign becomes "dead" to the HIllary apologists. How many good Democrats have become dead to them, just for speaking the truth. They are in a support-bubble, insulated from what is happening.

17. HRC is good at getting the MSM to see things her way
As most keep saying, "She has a point." "This is anyone's race." "This race is tied."

Outstanding letter. K&R.
