What's Up With Clinton Supporters All Bringing Up Jeremiah Wright at the Same Time?
What were you guys all watching FOX News or something? Or is this some futile attempt to "Get back" at Obama for Ferroros digusting comments?

Still trying to meddle with our nomination by stirring the racial pot? But FOX has been talking about Obama's church for months now...it's nothing new coming from them.

48. Speaking for myself, I've never watched MSNBC or FAUX. But to be fair to my fellow Hillary
supporters (or Hillbots), I've seen plenty of Obama supporters post stuff here that they saw on FAUX or heard on Rush Limbaugh's show (checking out the enemy is what they call it). Yes, I realize what I'm saying amounts to "Everybody does it," but when Hillary supporters are portrayed as getting their news from RW sources I think it's only fair to point out that Obama supporters have posted stuff from RW sources as well (from Sullivan to Noonan to Novak to Faux to Rush).

Clintons' InfoUSA Ties Scrutinized
by Peter Overby
Last year, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton took the unusual step of renting out some of her lists. The transaction once again highlights the Clintons' connections to a businessman who now faces questions from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Reports from Clinton's campaign show that on Dec. 3, it collected payment for renting out three mailing lists, the sale of which netted them $8,225.

It was an unusual transaction, according to Roger Craver, a liberal guru of the political direct-mail industry.
------------------------------------------
According to one direct-mail professional, $800,000 would have seemed like a more plausible price for a quality list...

Vin Gupta
has a long history of giving and raising campaign money for the Clintons, and gave $1 million for the 2000 Millennium Celebration, a New Year's Party thrown by the Clintons.
-----------------
Gupta spent $900,000 of corporate money flying the Clintons to various destinations. The Clinton campaign said in May that Info U.S.A. had been reimbursed to comply with federal campaigning and ethics rules.

After the Clintons left the White House, Gupta hired Bill Clinton as a consultant. It's one of two continuing business relationships he has had since leaving office, and it has been worth $3.3 million, in addition to the options on 100,000 shares of stock.
-------------------
The corporate spending on behalf of the Clintons helped fuel a shareholder lawsuit against Gupta and 10 corporate directors.

There are plenty of other allegations in the suit about homes, cars, and a yacht for Gupta. A Delaware chancery court judge dismissed some of the allegations involving the Clintons. But the case is still proceeding. It has led to an informal inquiry by the Securities and Exchange Commission, which is also asking if Gupta misspent corporate funds.

The Ferraro story is a very current event. The Jeremiah Threads are retread, are they not? How recent were his most "offensive" comments? I could've sworn we'd covered this territory weeks ago. Fox is pretty big for digging up past dirt and stoking the coals, though, and apparently that's spread into DU.

Smells like a Ferraro defense strategy to me. I think you guys should run with it. Seriously.

Sorry, but I don't support either candidate. I think they are both timid corporate centrists and pretty much indistinguishable from one another--six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Most of us have coalesced to Obama or Clinton. Then you come in here and tell us they're both corporate centrists as if we're all selling ourselves out for supporting either of them. Has it occurred to you that some of us are down to our fourth or fifth choices in this race? Don't complain to us about it. I think most of us have been there, done that.

I suppose that could put a chip on anyone's shoulder. Look at you--assuming that anyone who is not up your candidate's ass must be a Naderite. I have always voted for the Democrat and I have been doing it for more than twenty years. If I could bring myself to vote for such doomed, absurd candidates as Mondale and Dukakis, I can certainly manage it again.

53. Not just Faux News, but the WSJ Op-Ed page
The whole right wing noise machine is a-buzz with Rev. Wright this evening. Naturally the alleged Democrats who oppose Obama are parroting it here, 'cause if you can't parrot right wing propaganda on DU, then where can you parrot it?

57. That's what I was wondering too.

You've got to hand it to the Hillary supporters. They really do know how to stay on message.

Can it really be that members of Hillary's campaign are actually posting on these message boards? I guess when you consider that the campaign spent $95,000 on Hy-Vee party platters and thousands on snow shovels, it's really not that crazy.

Anyway, I was wondering what the next move will be after this Jeremiah Wright stuff dies down. If anyone from Hillary's campaign can let me know, please do so. Thanks.

this is a waste of time. if obama was a republican, it might be important, but obama is a democrat - a secular politician who knows the place of religion, behind the wall of eternal separation. obamas no religious zealot. this church business is a non issue.
