HRC supporters attacking Olbermann, he is giving her the benefit of the doubt!!!
I just watched the "Special Comment" and I think HRC supporters who are flipping out over this are reacting to the fact he had the nerve to criticize her, not what he said.

From the very beginning he talked about how the "Special Comment" was not something he wanted to do, he spoke highly not only of Hillary and Bill, but of her mother and brother.

THROUGHOUT the "Special Comment" he was very careful to call out her advisers and constantly pleaded with her to do something about them and their advice. He was appealing to her, he still believes she can right the ship, he was in a sense trying to save her. He was giving her the benefit of the doubt.

I know you guys are upset but he was extremely fair, he was critical of her advisers. He was critical of the strategy. He was not as hard on her as many of you want to believe he was.

Watch it again. . .you will see he gave her the benefit of the doubt.

18. I would rather have watched him eat lint... than the ragging that went on much too long
beyond the Welcome mat! I detest pomposity in any form, from anyone!

2. Mark Penn aside,
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 09:24 PM by AX10
I will defend her advisors.
Mark Penn is aa ass(as is David Axelrod) and I wish that Penn would disappear already.
I still will defend the others, including Ferrero.
If you left wing PC-nuts can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen.

11. "...left wing, PC-nuts..."?
Interesting choice of words. So everything is fair game and simple decency be damned? Racism/sexism/bigotry is ok, lying is ok, fearmongering is ok and anything goes as long as you win? Sounds an awful lot like the philosphy of the far right absolute scumbag pigs who have been in power for the past 7 years.

3. Keith seemed pretty darned careful
and considered in his choice of words (and targets).
We'll see how long the Clinton's keep up this strategy.
I'm very curious how it will impact the polls.

5. Keith's poll numbers will be down. He angered 50% of his
base viewers. Don't know how it will effect Obama.

7. And he did a terrible job trying his best to Slime her
But he was thrown off his game tonight from the unexpected resignation from Ferraro this afternoon. He had it all planned out yesterday when he announced yesterday of his big flame on Clinton.

15. That's because he wasn't TRYING to slime her. It looked like it PAINED him to say what he did...
He said she should stop listening to her advisers, stop letting people who work for her say things without condemning them or telling them to stop, and be herself (the person he respects). He's the same advocate for the truth today as he was when he was calling out Bush, Condi, etc. Try listening with unbiased ears.
