Poll question: For those who saw 60 Minutes, is Bush insane, a traitor or both?
I found it a really frightening interview. I started watching it knowing he was a really bad guy. I think even Mike Wallace was wondering about Bush's sanity by the end of the interview.

1. Ooops...
... I should read all options before voting. I redact my vote for Bush only; both Bush and Cheney have acted treasonously.

4. Your final option. BUT.. what are we going to do about it?
How many here have written letters today?

Made phone calls?

Made good use of the perfect opportunity handed to us?

5. Kanary, I'm going to start calling you...
"The Action Man!" You are right, we need make our voices heard.

BTW, I was busy last night watching out for tornados, so I missed 60 Minutes. Does anyone know if a transcript is available? Or, can anyone fill us in on what we missed?

7. Call me anything you want -- just WRITE! ^_^
How's that for a takeoff on the "Doesn't matter what you call me, as long as you don't call me late for dinner"?

:)

Here's a thread of mine with some ideas for action:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x1437434

I'm discouraged at all the comment, and how little action. This is a rare opporunity.

I recorded the program last night, not knowing if it was going to be a good one or not. Looks like it's a good thing I did. :)

8. Kanary, you and I shared tactics on a thread about the draft...
I'm the not-very-shy one who talks to grocery store bag "boys" and leaves info in Dr.'s waiting rooms. I do think your idea of printing small cards with relevant phone numbers and e-mail addresses is a great one! Perhaps you could post a sample...:hi:

9. Crimes now on record
Edited on Mon Apr-19-04 03:34 PM by Mugsy
Thanks to Woodward's book, Bush's crimes are now documented and a matter of record:

o $700 Million dollars appropriated by Congress in July of 2002 for Afghanistan was diverted towards preparations for war with Iraq. Diversion of funds appropriated for one purpose for use with another is a violation of the Constitution. This money was put under the discretion on General Tommy Franks to spend in any way he needed in preparation for war with Iraq, though 5 months later, while General Franks and the Bush Administration were still publicly insisting that it had not been preparing for a war with Iraq, he had in fact been working on those preparations since July.

o Bush entered into an agreement with the Saudi Ambassador, Prince Bandar, to "fine tune" oil prices for his 2004 Presidential campaign. In March, OPEC, whose largest most influential member Saudi Arabia, agreed to cut production to artificially inflate oil prices, and has promised to increase production and therefore cut prices in time for the November election. This is "collusion", a Federal crime.

There is a problem among the American public that most are operating under the mistaken belief that Bush's crimes aren't that bad or aren't really criminal because, "If they were, wouldn't there be impeachment hearings and investigations?" Most people don't realize that the Minority Party in Congress can NOT introduce New Legislation (unless co-sponsored by a member of the Majority party, e.g. "McCain/Feingold").

Don't you just know that if Bush were a Democrat, there would be hearings, trials, and screams of bloody murder coming from the Right?

People need to know that Bush isn't innocent of a crime simply because Congress isn't investigating him! This is also why we need a Democratic majority in Congress!

The Shrub Family has a long and ugly history of WAR PROFITEERING that continues to this day with DADDY WARBUCKS < Shrub the 1st >and his involvement with THE CARLYLE GROUP. His father Prescott and grandfather George Walker helped create and arm Hitler and the Nazis. For a well documented account of all this go to < www.tarpley.net >. Check out chapter 2 of the Shrub`s Bio: THE HITLER PROJECT.

13. Insane & a traitor
Cheney is just a power monger. Bush is totally off his rocker. Together, they're more than a grave and growing danger.

God is speaking to him, and he says so: a classic sign of schizophrenia.

I really think Uberspook George Sr. is running the whole shebang.
