Phone call between Maggie Williams and Geraldine Ferraro
Which apparently did not happen:

Maggie Williams: Hi, Geraldine, how are you?

Geraldine Ferraro: Oh fine, just trying to help Hillary you know

MW: Yeah, well about that...I was wondering if you could, well...not say that stuff about Obama being black helping him get where he is?

GF: I'm sorry I guess I said the wrong thing

MW: Well, it's not helping Hillary, you know, so could you leave the "black" talk about Obama out of your statements and apologize, Hillary really needs you to do this because it's not helping us.

GF: I don't know if I can do that but if the point is to get her elected.

MW: Well, we are trying to stay on message and this is distracting from our message.

GF: Okay, I've said I'm here to support her and I'll do whatever you think helps her win.

So if this call happened would we have heard these statements from Ferraro all those times? I kind of doubt it. Secondly, if it really hurt Hillary, would such a call have been made to correct it? I would think, ummm YEAH!

So apparently no direction to stop and if it were hurting, I'm sure that direction would come.

So maybe it is not hurting Hillary, maybe it is helping.

I'm extremely disappointed.
