Pelosi's comments today said it all about Hill's chances
Pelosi's very cutting remarks about Hill touting McCain over Obama, msde it crystal clear that she has no use whatsover for Hill as the nominee. Don't think it matters? Think again, hillerites. You may think Pelosi is a sucky Speaker, but she's the most powerful dem in Congress. Period. And she effectively commands a large number of uncommitted House SD votes. They won't be going to Hill. They will be going to Obama. SDs will decide the is thing, and hill screwed herself with quite a few. I knew that Hill's assinine comments about McCain and Obama would come back to bite her good and hard in the ass. I just didn't expect it to be so soon.

1. Clinton is not only turning off Dem voters
She's turning off party leaders as well.

4. Lol. Lord, I hope there's not such a difference between the two...
That is, I hope that there is still some common ground between Dem voters and Dem party leaders. ;)

5. One more person Hillary apologist have to add to their "dead list".
Hillary's campaign is becoming an insulated bubble of deniers. It is up to her when she accepts the loss. Tomorrow, this week, or at the Convention's first vote.

7. Pelosi overestimates her influence on the Democratic voters.
She does a lousy job in her own role as Speaker.

11. The OP isn't talking about voters.
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 10:30 PM by DiggerDan
He's talking about members of the House who are uncommitted SDs. Two entirely different things.

adopted our idiotic undemocratic way of nominating candidates.

12. It's not about her influence on dem voters or her job perfomance
It's about her influence on uncommitted SDs in the House. And anyone who doesn't think that she doesn't wield great influence in that dept, is just ignorant.

10. I wish I held your optimism of Pelosi's pull.
Unfortunately, I've seen her fail time and again to hold the party together on crucial votes. And her downhill slide is accelerating. BO's first move as POTUS-elect should be to select a candidate for SOH to replace this POS.

16. It's not about opitimism, it's about knowledge
and you're wrong, she's held the dem caucus together more often than not. There was a study done about it a few months ago. Not saying I find her impressive as Speaker, but she absolutely does command a significant number of dem SDs in the House. Oh, and Obama can't really replace her.

24. Sorry, Cali, but I disagree.
Quality votes are where she's failed. Not on quantity. And BO's coattails will be MASSIVE! He'll call on those newbies and borderliners and remind them why they have a vote for SOH at all. Then you'll see know the meaning of political capital. Technically, he can't replace her. Realistically, he will.

But those who I have seen defending her most, with records and passion, are also Hillary supporters.

But, none of us are exactly the same. I take you at your word on Pelosi.

He is a freshman and he won in an extremely close election. I'm positive he's not going to cross Pelosi on this.

And if the Clinton campaign doesn't stop she will be endorsing Obama. That was my take.
