It's bad enough that sexism and racism toward blacks has been rampant in recent months, but when someone has the gall to post anti-Muslim garbage on these forums, we stoop to a new, disgusting low.
The current climate in our country is paranoid and antagonistic toward Islam in general. For people to feed into it in order to support their candidate is DISGRACEFUL. The LAST thing we need right now is fanning the flames of paranoia and racism by posting right-wing crap like that.

I strongly disagree with the argument that these things have to be "put into context". Alternatively, if one wants to claim that those teachings were for then and there only, then we can say the same about the rest of the religion, and ignore it all.
