Poll question: Truth Time
The poll is anonymous so no need to pretend - where do you actually stand

1. I'm an overt Obama supporter...
...but I'm smart enough to recognize that, in spite of any hesitations I have about HRC, I'd vote for her over McCain every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

18. Obama supporter - and I 2nd that
Anybody who does NOT vote for the Dem nominee is passively supporting that war mongering puke bastard McCain.

No excuse!

I can't fathom how folks that call themselves Dems don't give hoot about what a rethug nominee will do to the SCOTUS???!

2. Other...I'm not truly behind either candidate.
They may make good presidents but I can't say I'll be happy to vote for them.

3. I voted other
I have extremely bitter feelings toward Hillary right now after her endorsement of McCain over Obama. But I don't know if I'm ready to NOT vote for her if shes the nominee. Any democrat is better than McCain. but she is really freakin pushing it.

5. I'll proudly vote for the Democratic nominee because...
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 06:39 PM by IndianaGreen
it is going to be Barack Obama.

The math shows that Hillary will finish second in pledged delegates, and the only option left for her is to do something that will fracture the party in Denver, and that's one thing that the majority of Democratic office holders will not let her do.

The only question is who will Obama pick for VP?

PS: I voted "Other" on this poll.

but I'll still pretend like I am proudly doing it because I could not stomach the idea of President McCain.

8. I am spared that decision
If Obama is the candidate, there is an outside chance that my state, Texas, will go blue.

If Clinton is the candidate, Texas will be so red, the Cardinals will look pale in comparison. So It won't make any difference how the Texas Dems vote. Our electoral college votes will go for McCain. So I will probably vote Green or just not vote for the top of the ticket.

I will NOT proudly vote for Hillary, but I will vote for her as an anti McCain Vote...I hope it never comes down to that.

10. Just don't know at this point
After the convention, if my choice of candidates isn't the nominee, I'll have to wrestle with it. Right now, I just don't know.

12. If Clinton wins the nomination by overturning the will of the people
She won't win the general election. MANY Obama supporters simply won't vote for her. She will also energize the GOP base. The only way she can win over Obama supporters is if she stops throwing mud and wins the majority of pledged delegates. That won't happen. Its mathematically impossible. The more Hillary stays in and slanders Obama the more she is hated. She needs to drop out for the good of the party.

13. Anyone not voting for the Democratic nominee IS voting for the GOP
So those who do this can thank themselves when McCain is President.

17. Other
I'll vote for Hillary if Obama does not get the nomination. Although I prefer Obama and have some reservations about her, she can't possibly come close to McCain.

I really do wish we would stop eating our own and stop with this fallacy of "vetting" our own candidates.
