3. More detail and the link...
"McCain’s Lingering FEC Problem politicallore.com — McCain's Lingering FEC problems could lead to him being outspent by the Democrats 10-1 in the General Election. In worst case scenarios, If the FEC board rules against him after he has already exceeded federal spending limits he would be facing criminal charges and a large fine that would be a huge black eye for his candidacy."

6. Here's how BushCo handles this shit--they claim that "poor McCain"
can't get a "fair hearing" because that "do-nothing Congress" refuses to "up or down vote" on those FEC members to constitute a quorum to rule on McCain's case, and Bush, by EXECUTIVE FIAT, pardons McCain for any "innocent and unintentional" transgressions he may have made--and the ONLY REASON he's doing it is because "Congress MADE HIM do it." Oh, those TERRIBLE bums in Congress!! It's all THEIR FAULT!!!!

Small tempest in a teapot, blown over in a week or three...all while Obama and Clinton are at it hammer and tongs. Goes right over the "average voter's" head.

There won't be ANY problem here so long as Bush is in charge. What's his motivation for clearing this up, really? McCain can always charge ahead, raising and spending money like mad, with Bush's complicit help. After all, Bush can always wait and pardon McCain in December, if he HAS to...

This is wishful thinking. IMO. If I can think of a way to spin the story, and I wish it would have legs, the GOP won't have any trouble so doing.

What people aren't realizing is that McCain is the CHENEY in this race--the heir to the BushCo legacy, the guy who is gonna cover Bush's ass, legally, in exchange for winning the Oval Office. That's the deal, here. Bush knows it, McCain knows it. The only ones who aren't real clear on it are the people who think that McCain will be a "new kind of Republican" who "has their interests at heart."

4. You think the FEC will rule against him? In this environment?
Ooops, Johnny, you were a BAAAAAAAD boy...a VERY NAUGHTY boy!!! Now here, you accept this letter saying how naughty you were, and then you go and straighten out your finances, back away from any commitments that might constrain you, and then pay this, oh, five hundred dollar fine, that's not too much, is it... and go and sin no more!!

Whaddaya bet...?

Look at Bush's forays with another government "commission" -- the SEC -- and how they roundly punished him (NOT) for his indiscretions with Harken Oil!

8. This leads to the question
why was McSame so happy today to have the chimp help with fundraising if McSame is going with public financing? It can't be THAT hard to raise the maximum allowed....any republicon should be able to do it.

Is John W McSame trying to get out of his pledge for public financing? Will the press hold him accountable for his promise?

9. Read the story :)... But I am guessing the press will do nothing... This is huge news, especially
especially the ballot access issues.
