I sometimes hate being so smart: My Feb 20th prediction
A post by me on a thread on Feb. 20th:

"There is not enough difference between them on the issues that Hillary can gain any traction on the "issues."

They are both all "yay" multi-lateral foreign policy/ boo "cowboy diplomacy" yay nationalized healthcare/yay fiscal responsibility/boo housing crash.

She needs to ugly and personal to win this. That's it; that's her only option."

On another thread that I can't find, I stated that if I was her advisors, I would give her the two choices of dropping out or attacking Obama with a relentless negative campaign. She took the only approach that get her the nomination.

It may be bad form, but it is probably good politics. The question is: At what price victory?

1. Fake News Reports - Fear Mongering
What is this party turning in to? She's nothing more than a Repuke with a D after her name.

3. Since her policies and voting record are virtually identical to Obama's, what's that make him?
Careful with the circular firing squad. A lot of us think that neither Barack nor Hillary are particularly liberal in their views. Would you prefer McCain?

7. So you condone her repuke behavior?
You condone fake news reports and fear mongering? Because I could have sworn there was all sorts of outrage on this site when the pukes were doing it... But now it's okay to do against another Dem?

Yeah - okay.

I'll vote the party nominee, but I'll never support or condone that type of behavior. It's what has gotten this country in to the mess it's in now.

12. Nice straw man. I don't see any evidence that Hillary's campaign has put out fake news reports.
No evidence, just a lot of accusations. I haven't supported or condoned it, either.

I was responding to your comment that Hillary is nothing but a Republican. Another accusation with no evidence behind it.

5. Oh please
It's not like Obama is progressive.

They're like...identical cousins on the issues.

2. At what price victory? I question whether last night actually accomplished anything...
other than keep Sen. Clinton in the race.

4. She actually has a pretty tough road ahead, at least with pledged delegates.
So I am not sure these 3 victories are gonna do it for her at the end of the day.

What we have learned, I guess, is that she proved a point about Obama's weakest area. She was shrewd enough to see how the McCain thing would end up: he'd have to emphasize his foreign policy experience and would hammer any Dem candidate that wasn't considered tough enough. It will be McCain's broken record in this campaign. She showed that she has muscle and sinew on foreign policy issues, which can go a long way to blunt a McCain frontal assault with his ONLY real strong suit.

It was a good strategy, but I don't know if she's going to prevail with it, without enough superdelegates and without counting the Michigan and Florida votes.

8. I'm Just as Smart and Don't Feel Bad at All!
Here's what I wrote on Feb 13, in response to Kentuck's "If I Were Advising Hillary?" thread:

6. I'd Advise Her to Go Negative

Drawing Republican voters is working for Obama, and she wouldn't have the time to develop & implement to best him at it, IMO.

There's no way the Republican party won't go negative in the general; Obama may as well get tested now & see if his campaign holds up any better to the "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" and whatever other shit's going to get thrown at him.

And here's the best part - a response to that from a prolific Obama backer here:

9. It's funny. Everyone hates negative campaigning but it works 90 percent of the time
This week, we learned that Obama is secretly a Muslim and wears crazy clothes and lies to Americans in plagiarized speeches while telling the truth to Canadians.

You know what, it was good strategy.

The problem is, it's probably far too late for her. She should have done this at the end of January.

11. Oh, I Beg to Differ
What we learned this week:

Hillary is not going to roll over easily.
Obama gets uptight when the shoe is on the other foot.
The MSM will only air negative stories on Obama when they can pin Hillary Clinton as the source.

If that last one can be changed in the next few days, PA will be a cinch.
