Imo, he will need to start stepping up and letting this sort of discourse fly; do as well think he needs to back off of the preachy stuff...but that's for others to determine.

He's been just sort of sitting/standing there waiting for someone to hand it to him. I think he allowed himself a false positive there, which may speak to how little problems he has encountered thus far (i.e. Alan Keyes is a guy I think I could have beat in a debate but that's just me). And I think tonight reconfigured allot of stuff that was up till now thought to be foregone conclusions.

Obama has been given quite the free ride; however, he does strike me as someone who is a quick learner and the fierce determination shown in his speech bodes well for him. I have to say, both our candidates just shine like beacons compared to any of those g.d repukes! :hi:

And I mean that too. He just doesn't seem as inspiring tonight, and comes off a bit angry. For obvious reasons, Hillary's sounded far more uplifting and hopeful. But I'm not getting that from him tonight. Tonight, it's like he's saying the words, but just not having the right impact. Even the audience isn't as inspired as Hillary's was.

And I don't care what anyone would say. I'm saying this with 100% objectivity. Whenever I watch an Obama speech, no matter what battles I've been in on here, I find myself inspired and in awe of him a bit. But tonight, it just ain't doin anything for me.
