1. Not exit polls, results. Don't get your hopes up, that lead will shrink a bit.

I feel better about Texas, as an Obama supporter, but it will tighten.

3. they reported the numbers from large cities first- big obama base
ohio is doing the opposite. I still predict that OH and TX will be close (less than 6 points difference)

The problem here is I doubt they counted the votes that fast in the larger cities.
Generally it takes a few hours to count major cities.

how does that square w/the exit polls.

19. 900K of the votes are in
This would be about 30% of the total vote. They probably are not assigning precints to them because they are the early votes.

21. Look at the total votes, almost 1 million.
With 1%, that suggests about one hundred million Texas Democrats voted today, that isn't possible. The 1% is default, probably early voting and that means Clinton will need to win the voting TODAY by 13+ to beat Obama in Texas.

But hey hold on to that if you feel better, when South and South West Texas comes in and the Early votes are counted with in the next two hours it will be a blow out, but it will be in favor of Hillary.

29. Expected primary votes: 3.6 to 3.8 million.
From this link:

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/03/04/730141.aspx

So, these early votes look pretty good. a lead of 150K in the early voting I'll take. We'll have to see what the precincts are reporting.

30. To reply to several here, 484,538 + 367,632 = 852,170. That's more that 1%
Unless 85,000,000 are going to vote in TX, that's way more than 1% of the vote.

Reasonable assumption: 852,170 is 1/2 of 1.7 million, the expected total, I think. They (CNN) apparently have official returns from 1% of TODAY'S vote in and ALL of the early voting.

Sooooooo, Hillary would need to get something like 56/43 advantage today to tie it up. But today';s vote is not likely to be vastly different than early vote. Soooooo. Probably a big win for Obama in primary percentage. Delegate percentage depends how that win is distributed over districts. But an educated guess might give Obama a nice gain in delegates from the state of Texas, for which I must admit I've gained some respect recently.
