"Rethug votes don't count"

I've seen posts rationalizing that the "popular vote" shouldn't affect how superdelegates vote, since rethugs & independents are voting in some of the Democratic primaries. Personally, I don't like the fact that rethugs are voting in our primaries to begin with - Democrats should decide their own candidates, as should the rethugs. However, how does one determine how a group of people voted? Is it fair to simply assume that every single rethug voted for Obama? Does one assume that every single rethug who voted in a Democratic primary is an "Oblamican"?

I've heard many rethugs - including many of the right-wing hate radio hosts - say that they'd much rather face Hillary in the general election. Therefore, wouldn't it stand to reason that at least a percentage of those rethugs are voting for Hillary in attempt to sway the race?

Sorry, you can't change the rules during the race. If we're going to allow outside voters to participate in our primaries, then we have to accept the results for what they are. Simply saying that "all rethugs voted for Obama, therefore every superdelegate should vote for Hillary to counter that, despite what the general results are" is just taking a messy situation and making it worse.

you are right, everywhere that Hillary loses she tries to blame something else. Media bias, caucas system, Saturday Night Live, sexism....................................

She does not take responsibility for anything (IWR, her vicious campaign crew). She is acting like a queen who feels that she is owed the White House and everything that might prevent it is somehow wrong, Florida, Michigan, sexist, not fair....................

The ones who are with the Dems on ALL the issues, but have been tricked by the Rovians into identifying as Rape-Publicans? Why would you have a problem with them? Shouldn't they already be voting with us anyway?

I'm talking about rethugs crossing party lines to vote. I'm not familiar with the article you mentioned, but if they agree with Dems on all issues, then they should register themselves as Democrats.

The premise of having a closed primary is to prevent the other side from crossing over in droves to sabotage the process, which is exactly what some in the Hillary camp are accusing.

4. Fro m the beginning this has been a one two punch by GOP.

As the race was beginning, the GOP had determined rightly or wrongly:
they had determined Obama was the weaker candidate. Therefore, if they
could wipe out Hillary in the Primary, they believed they had a better
chance in the General against Obama. At every open primary, report
after report of the great GOP participation in Democratic Race.

By now you must have seen Frank Luntz's Focus group on Fox usually
on the Hannity Show. Week after week Luntz has these groups of 20 to
30 Democrats with their meters reacting to something eith debates
or Ads. Not once has he found a democrat who can list one Obama
accomplishment.

Last evening , He had Mixed Group including a few Republicans.

When asked about the accomplishements of Obama.

ONE REPUBLICAN WOMAN. He has kept Hillary Clinton from winning.
The glee was palpable.

Many of believe the GOP has been critical in selecting out candidate
and have bad feelings about the whole process.

In all those early primaries and caucuses, McCain lost among Republican voters and won with Independents and Cross-Over Dems.

We chose their nominee for them!!!!
