6. Yeah, solving problems is so 20th century....
...when you can party on like it's the End of the World As We Know It.

My guess is that irony is a lost cause with many of Senator Obama's supporters.

19. The biggest problem we have right now is the Iraq war.
Maybe the best person to fix a problem is not the one who helped cause it.

Denigrating supporters of another candidate does seem to be a favorite Clinton tactic.

It's working out great for her, isn't it? It reflects poorly on you as well.

23. We all knew in the fall of 2002 why Hillary and other Dems with presidential ambitions CAVED IN.
A year later, guys like Kerry and Edwards had realized the error of their ways, but Hillary didn't change her tune a bit until THIS campaign started, and in 2007 Edwards and Kerry were calling her out on it.

She's the last Democrat whose judgment we can trust in the White House. She'll cave in to the military, industrial, pharmaceutical, banking, and insurance oligarchies.

24. The problem is Hillary's solution is always caving in to DLC interests.
She's got no solutions. She can't even run her own campaign.

25. Pretty much what I told my husband
when I read the first one. "Deeply clever. A lot of Obama voters aren't going to get it."

5. I don't think the cartoon....
shows Obama in a positive light at all. Sounds like a pep rally, a motivational speaker or a preacher. Excitement on the surface which rapidly evaporates when reality sets in again.

Meanwhile, the hard work of real solutions - just gets snores.

7. Thats the genius of Doonesbury
It has many levels, if you read closely. He captures a lot of the debate going on between the two camps....There are positives and negatives to both...

8. Ya think?
Hope is never a method or a strategy. Too bad a lot of Senator Obama's supporters don't realize that (or don't want to realize that).

27. Hope motivates change. Hope is a way to make people who have
nothing get up and move to do something about their situation. No one protested the war the last few without the hope that it might make change. Don't underestimate hope. Too bad Hillary has.

29. I don't underestimate hope....
...but I disdain it as a strategy and method. Hope didn't motivate me when I was going through a very rough patch in my life, self-determination and a never quit mentality did. Hope didn't get me through a career change, a plan of action and an absolute focus of clarity did. Finally, hope didn't put me in the position I currently enjoy, I got here because of a relentless pursuit of my goal and hope was never part of that equation.

And you can bet your last dollar that Senator Barack Obama has not relied on hope to put him into the position he currently enjoys. You want something accomplished don't hope, do.

30. the hope for better is the key to motivation. so, for you hope wasn't
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 03:27 PM by roguevalley
a factor but if you look at american history, the westward movement and people coming through hell to get to america, you will find its an intrinsic american attribute. without hope, for too many there is nothing. without hope, the civil rights movement wouldn't have happened, immigrant parents wouldn't have worked their lives away and given up their own dreams for their children.

to say all Obama has is hope is false. it is one of many things people FEEL when they listen to him and what he wants to do. I think Hillary really began to fall when she ridiculed that feeling and that message. ha! you people and your hope! HA! Bad idea.

21. Not a Leader But an Observer - and a Good One
Ya know, if the hopers can keep up the attitude and swarm for another 9 months, we'll have an Obama president.

And then we'll see how well he governs a nation on the verge of crisis.
