Is backing Sen. Barack Obama 'liberal guilt'? Now I know
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 01:04 AM by babylonsister
what a DUer was speaking of earlier this week because I'm watching the McLaughlin Group. It was mentioned tonight by Monica Crowley and Pat Buchanan. We're voting for Obama because we're guilty of not really liking a candidate, but voting for him because he's black, and that assuages our supposed racism. :wtf:

So NOW I know what my motives are! :eyes:

5. LOL That Is What Makes The Choice So Tough
Should we feel more guilty about what we did to women or blacks? It is not possible that we are voting for Obama because we find him to be an intelligent, compassionate, competent leader.

8. Very disheartening.
It's almost as if it's inconceivable to some people that a black candidate can just be a very good candidate and that's why people vote for him. Sad.

:-(

10. Now, that's racism for ya........
Now, If Obama had said, "Vote for me because I'm Black" over and over again....maybe then somebody might have a point!

Guess they think that everyone is stupid like they are. :eyes:

11. I think it is interesting if they really said "liberal guilt'
I have acquaintances that are conservatives that are voting for him
because of their guilt.

THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT THE WAR
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT CORPORATIONS
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT REPUBLICANS
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT THEIR RELIGION and realized they were being manipulated
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT BUSH
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT NAFTA
THAT THEY WERE WRONG AFTER REALLY LOOKING AT MEDIA CONTROL
THAT THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING....

and the list goes on and on. Liberal guilt is a right wing slur.

But, I have seen real changes from conservatives and their warped perceptions
and they are voting for Obama.

15. Remember...
Don't bother to give a reason or two.

Just you utter your opinion and wander off.

No reasoning or dialog necessary.

16. It is a muddle; we need to have a decision made, and soon, so the
candidate can put all their efforts into the GE. That was my point.
And sorry, it was late and I went to bed.

17. Ridiculous. Implies there is nothing likeable about a very inspiring candidate.
GOP meme. Trying to wedge the white vote I think.
